1-10 of 29 Brisbane to Australia & New Zealand Family Cruises Cruise Reviews
We chose this cruise as we were going to Australia and wanted to visit New Zealand whilst we were in that part of the world. So we went to Brisbane to board the ship and first of all it was a fiasco at the port, there seemed no organisation and there were queues galore and nobody seemed to know why. Anyway after a very, very long wait we eventually boarded the ship, the SEA PRINCESS which seemed ...
When we booked last year we didn't know it would be an EXC cruise. We thought we'd give the new product a go but it seems to be a cost cutting venture. We went to the major ports of Noumea, Port Vila and Auckland on sundays when everything is closed and the other days to beaches where it didn't matter. The cruise hopped around with no order or reason to be in these ports on sunday....maybe cheaper ...
Because of the ports of call around the Pacific and previous cruises with HAL had been quite good.
Embarkation at Brisbane was fine. Our Neptune suite felt like the same as previous on the other HAL cruise, very comfortable and immaculately clean.
How ever, the joy seemed to stop there!
It appeared that the staffing levels had been reduced and things just took that little longer for ...
My daughters and a friend of mine decided that a two day short cruise would be fun, but we were more than 4 hours late leaving the port of Brisbane , so no movies on deck least we disturb the people living near the port, but no one bothered to tell us until a fellow passenger told us a half hour after it should have started. Very annoying. When we went to the 9.30 movie on deck the speakers were ...
I chose the cruise to see Airlie Beach, Cairns and Port Douglas. Unfortunately weather challenges meant we didn't get to Port Douglas, which is unavoidable. Furthermore the cruise is still at sea for another few days beyond the original schedule due to Cyclone Oma. Again nothing that the cruise line can do about that.
However the ship is tired, needs a serious clean of public areas carpeting ...
We chose this cruise simply for the itinerary. We didn't make it to the fiordlands due to weather, which we understand. The ship seemed understaffed and I've definitely been on happier ships. Late embarking led to harried crew ordering us to our muster station, where we were told to move when we tried to put our heavy carry on luggage and stroller down. So sitting on a step which was the only ...
As experienced Princess customers we looked forward to our Australian Cruise on the Sea Princess. On the positive side crewmembers were friendly, efficient and attentive to the passengers. However, The Sea Princess is a poorly designed vessel. Unlike other Princess ships the buffet dining venue is all the way forward at the topmost part of the ship making it more subject to ship motion, not the ...
This was our 7th cruise in the past 4 years. We decided to book the Sea Princess 4 night cruise to Arlie Beach. Whilst we had a good time with friends who also came, I was very disappointed with this ship and would not book again.
Cabin: We would usually book a balcony, but decided to book an internal room due to it only being a 4 night cruise. Room and bathroom was extremely small, the ...
Was very excited as this was my first cruise. Cabin was hot could not sleep. Turned air con to cool still too hot. Entertainment was average. Food was average. Could not sit outside on wooden recliners as people had put towels on them but were not using them. Staff were nice. One port we stopped at every thing was closed.
Other than watch the same movie there was nothing to do. Only 4 pokey ...
Picked this cruise because of itinery, which was then changed before we left. Were given three different boarding times and only advised of right boarding time finally by one phone text. Had no idea beforehand of average age of cruisers, most of whom were quite elderly. Had ambulances waiting at most ports, and a helicopter emergency evacuation. Unfortunately most activities and entertainment ...
