Carnival Luminosa worst cruise ever ??
"I love all cruises but what I am saying is compared to all 12 other cruises I have done this was the least satisfying and least value for money imo, and if you had nothing to compare to you may say it was OK but not for me unless it's half price of others, oh BTW smoking is deck 10 outside good setup but gets damn hot with no cover but hey you smokers have your own small bar area undercover so that's a positive.Breakfast, eggs bennies always cold, no bacon available most of cruise limited choice compared to RCCL and P&O, water at buffet ran out as well as ice most of the time...."Read More

Talk about cost-cutting but the beds were hard and the pillows like $5 target samples. No entertainment in theatre but crowded COVID spreading comedy club. Staff were varied from good to very pushing back. $118 for 2 uses of the hydropool. $9 for pressed orange juice. Cabin stunk of cigarette smoke and staff pushed back trying to deny it was an issue. It took half way through the cruise before ...

Flew up from Sydney. Stayed at Kingsford Smith Motel - excellent service, comfy beds, modern rooms + free shuttle the new Brisbane cruise port. Highly recommend the motel for pre cruise stay. Luminosa - nicely decorated for Christmas. Had 2 x solo balcony cabins on Deck 7 AFT. Great location. Comfy beds, nice balconies - guest services gave room steward permission to open up door between ...

NZ cruises are normally a lot more money, so we jumped onto this. FOOD was good and varied with USA style bbq and Chinese being very popular also great grilled sandwiches. Beer is reasonably priced when you purchase 6 in a bucket @ 7.50 each. While spirits a bit expensive @ 12 or 13 dollars ea. Good entertainment for a budget cruise. The theatre has room for small drink tables and was quite ...

We are past Carnival cruisers and Celebrity and Holland America. We picked this cruise for value and convenience. That said I have to say: not what we expected. If we knew these tips we would have been prepared. Con: We got two flat hard pillows. Felt like a stack of towels. Only 2! Ask for better pillows right away. We couldn’t get into our cabin until 45 minutes or so after the ...

Breakfast, eggs bennies always cold, no bacon available most of cruise limited choice compared to RCCL and P&O, water at buffet ran out as well as ice most of the time. No breads to choose from maybe a few slices now and then and butter must have been rare as hens teeth had to ask most of the time and it was in a small tiny dish and whipped it was rubbish. Two x4 slice tosters good luck on ...

Dreadful cruise experience on Carnival Luminosa

We acknowledge that this was the first cruise on Carnival Luminosa since the transfer from Costa as well as being the first Australian cruise on this ship. Food was dreadfully presented and well and truly not up to cruise ship standards. See attached photo of Chicken Schnitzel measured only 9cm x 7cm with a total of 14 chips on the plate and nothing else, no greens, no salad, no gravy or any ...
