Excellent Itinerary Mediocre Ship

Chose this cruise for the itinerary which was excellent. Loyal Royal Caribbean diamond member. The cabin was as expected. Very clean. The bathroom sink had shallow cracks in it. The shower faucet had obviously been repaired but not well. There was a sharp hole in the left side handle. On the right side we had to learn how to manipulate the handle to get enough hot water. They did send the ...

My wife and I were celebrating our 25 years of marriage with the third of three RCCL cruises within the last nine months. We had spotted this itinerary of 12 nights in the British Isles and Ireland, and thought how nice it would be to visit Scotland, in particular. We had not cruised on Brilliance before, but had done trips on sister ships, Jewel and Serenade. Boarding/check-in in Amsterdam ...

Too Many Too Far Too Quick

This cruise has too many ports and not enough sea days to relax. Plus, plan to spend most of the time (hours) driving to and from the cities of interest. Other than being able to see the white cliffs from the shipping port in Dover, nothing of interest is remotely near where the ship docks. I feel they could easily eliminate the Dover stop. It was not interesting and a sea day is needed at the end ...

We chose this cruise for ports of call and they were great. Had a wonderful waiter in Jose. Ying kept our room great. But RCL could not seem to get their online together as we were sailing as 3 couples and they would send me emails for my friend all the time. They do not have a good tech team. Had to call numerous times to get it right. Air & Sea said they would give $50 credit to my husband ...

Chose this cruise because it was the only one that fitted our itinerary and schedule and liked the fact we were in St Petersburg for two days. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent especially in the Minstral dining room. The dress code was not adhered to and it was disappointing to see some men going into dinner wearing shorts, tee-shirts and sandals whereas the ladies made the ...

Would've been a dream cruise if not for fixable mistakes.

We chose to disembark from amsterdam because its inexpensive to fly there from most places in the world, and amsterdam itself is such a beautiful city to visit. the crew staff in general are extremely helpful and friendly, it really gave a good general feeling to chit chat and have a good relationship with the crew members. The only unfriendly ones are security staff, they have obviously not ...

Not so Brilliant

We had good experiences with Royal C. in the past, so when we wanted to see the Scandinavian countries and St.Petersburg we chose them. But the ship was kind of old and small compared to ones we had in the USA with less space and less amenities and services. Shows and food were just a little above average. Excursions were costly and not well organized. In one of them ( Stockholm) we ...

We chose this cruise because of the cities we were going to visit, but expected a lot more in on board overall quality and itinerary. Getting in the cruise is as easy as it gets. Getting off is another story. Check out is not a very nice experience and I recommend you thoroughly check your account. Excessive charges are to be expected. Cabins are nice and room service is really good. Dinning ...

So our first ever cruise is over. Let me suggest, that cabin 8087 should never be rented out, other than to the deaf or those that plan on partying late. The Centrum area, to which only a thin wall separates is certainly not soundproof. So one is living as with a constant ghetto blaster radio turned up next door. The ship services alleviate this by closing the nearby fire door and limiting ...

Liked the Round-Trip itinerary. Flew direct round trip from Boston to Amsterdam. Used Delta Comfort Plus air travel for a comfortable ~6-7 hour flight each way. ITINERARY: We recommend this itinerary for newcomers as the 2 week itinerary provides good overview of the region. We enjoy tendering into ports, but guests with mobility problems should consider accessibility capabilities when ...
