We choose this cruise to get together with friends from other states and to get out in the sunshine. We purposely chose a shorter, less expensive cruise. There were 12 of us all together; 4 of the couples flew from Ohio, one already in Florida, and we drove from SC.
Embarkation was the easiest we have had in 17 cruises. The Port of Tampa is easy to drive to, easy to park, easy to board. We were ...
We chose this cruise as we just wanted a shorter cruise this time, 5 days.
We had not been on an older ship for sometime, but found the Brilliance
to be in good shape and not tacky at all.
We live just an hour away, so drove to the port and parked in Channelside
Parking at l/2 price of Terminal 3 parking. It's just 2 short blocks away
from the terminal.
We arrived at the ...
I cruise every year and the last two cruises I have found some of the excursions to be a chaotic disaster. The cruise ships are so large and the ports of call so small that it is crazy trying to get around. We have been to key west a few times before and usually stayed in the downtown area. On this cruise I chose to do the hop on hop off tour. The tour is a nice tour if you just stay on the bus. ...
Our nephew & his wife joined us on this cruise to celebrate my birthday. Embarkation and disembarkation in Tampa was a breeze, quick on and off the ship with hardly any waiting. Our junior suite was large & clean with plenty of storage. The Brilliance O.T.S. is in good condition, well laid out, and the ride was mostly very smooth, even with the occasional rough seas of winter.
We mostly dined ...
We chose this cruise because it fit the school vacation schedule in NY State.
My wife and I are approaching 60 and our son is 25.
We liked the ship size and layout. We had a Jr Suite which was plenty of space for the 3 of us. The walk-in closet was larger than we expected. The tub drain had an issue that was addressed promptly by the maintainance folks by removing the drain plug. It ...
Since our cruise on Seabourn we have become very spoiled, but my husband is a "prog" fan and was thrilled to take this cruise with some of his favorite artists.
I hadn't been on a Royal Caribbean ship for at least 10 years and it hasn't gotten any better.
We left from Tampa for this 5-day cruise and because of fog we weren't allowed to embark until 7:30 that evening (instead of 10:30 that ...
The staff was amazing - so helpful and caring. Entertainment always awesome on RC! Food was outstanding - only complain is they brought us too much good food. We also have a food allergy and they totally took care of us. Room was small, but lots of storage. Only real complaint is only two electrical outlets in the cabin - needed more or a power strip. Our originally planned excursion was ...
We chose this cruise because it was in Tampa and we have enjoyed past cruises on Royal Carribean. They were not forthcoming with basic information. The crew was not as friendly as past cruises. The noise over the balcony was upsetting. The whole point of having a cabin with a balcony is so you can relax on it and enjoy the peaceful ocean. The coffee and hot water for tea was constantly empty. ...
Overall it was a really fun cruise. Staff was good. Our room was very clean and the attendant was great. Anything we needed it was there before we returned to the room. Food and drinks were ok. Main dining room was average but we had requested a private toable and were placed with 6 others. Luckily they were all very nice. The kids really enjoyed the buffet. They are there for lunch and breakfast ...
We choose this cruise because it was kids sail free and it left out of Tampa. The port of Tampa was awesome. We got there on the tail end of things and there were no lines to wait through and that helped big time since this was out first time back cruising in 5 years since the birth of our first daughter and this was our 2 girls first time cruising. The staff onboard were so nice and friendly. My ...
