Grand Suite (GS) Cabin Reviews

It was OK. : Cabin 1062
Sail Date: December 2017
Not much to say really. It was spacious and comfortable. The only negative I can think of was that deck 11 overhung the balcony and you cold hear the runners/walkers on the track in the morning, but thats a teeny tiny thing. Read More

We usually book a junior suite, but got upgraded to a grand suite. It is amazing, with almost twice as much square footage. There is a nice seating area, a bar area, large bathroom and ample closet space. The bathroom has a tub/shower, 2 medicine cabinets, 2 lower storage cabinets & 3 large drawers. There is a vanity area with 3 clothing drawers on each side, 2 upper storage cabinets, as well as 2 lap drawers perfect for makeup. There is even a magnifying makeup mirror – much needed in all cabins in my opinion! The balcony wasn’t deep, but had a lounge chair in addition to a table with 2 chairs. Our stateroom attendant, Sudheer, was fantastic and responded to our requests in a very timely manner. Read Less

Very spacious living, sleeping and washroom. Plenty of closet and storage. Balcony was big but curved so full privacy was an issue. This Grand Suite (like others we have been in before with RCC) states that it can sleep 4 but the pull out sofa is not big enough to accommodate adults or adult children, of which we have two. We again had to ask for a roll away bed and it's mattress was sub par. Thank goodness for our stateroom attendant Analiz who helped us out. We have made comments about the same thing for years now and the suite has enough room in it to streamline other pieces of furniture so that proper accommodations for four are ensured especially for that price we paid to have a grand suite. The ship was renovated but some small wear and tear items in the cabin need to be looked into. We did have a few issues with the toilet and hot water but were rectified immediately. We didn't complain about the crackling phone line or the lack of a PA system in the cabin but maybe someone needs to look into those too. Read Less

What's not to like about a Grand Suite on Royal? The service and amenities are great. We had tended to go with a JS or GS not only because of the comfort but also because Royal gives you double C&A points for a Suite. Unfortunately we have a hard time going in a standard cabin when suites are not available. We are now Diamond Plus with a very long way to go to make Pinnacle we will likely still book Suites since we are spoiled. Read Less
