sorry to say the service and food at the main dining room was very very poor the daily activities seemed for nursery tots. The music and singers around the ship were made for nursing home entertainment. They sang and played the same things all through the crossing. Now to say that the royal caribbean dancers and orchestra were very good as always.Their shows were very good. The movie ...

Nickel and diming

We chose the itenirary British Isle mostly for Scotland which is rarely offered and thought the ship would be as good as same category ships ie loved Jewel and Serenade. Not problem at embarkation in Amsterdam although very annoying feeling besieged by staff selling ALL they could think of prior to us stepping on ship. Upon entering our balcony stateroom, the smell of sewer was so strong and the ...

Worst ship in the line!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We chose this ship based on the fact that it had the ONLY embarkation point from Amsterdam. We were on the 12 night Baltic cruise and the ports were fine it was the ship that was awful! When we had the safety drill, the crew penciled in who was in attendance (I know that they have electronic devices that can check in). The rooms, while quite beautiful in a 1940's way have no updated ...

Disappointing

It was our 50th anniversary and we thought a repositioning cruise would be a great experience. On previous cruises we have always eaten in the dining room for all our meals. We found the food to be cold. My omelets were incomplete, only half of my omelette had filling in it. We tried it again when we gave our review on the ship and they asked us to try breakfast again. The food was still ...

So Disappointed! REALLY Bad Customer Service!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We have sailed on numerous other cruise lines and always had a very positive experience. This was our first time with Royal Caribbean and we were so disappointed-- not with the itinerary but with the customer service, food, and entertainment. Please don't think that we are cruise snobs complaining about the slightest infraction. The cruise ship itself was older but in great shape for its age. ...

Cruise is not up to RC standards

First time to Ireland and Scotland....so looking forward to it. However, the trip was a mafor. disappointment on many fronts. The ports were very industrial and greatly took away from the experience. The food was ok, nothing special. The entertainment was the worst we have had on a RC cruise. Service was lacking and the team did not seem to have it together. Our Diamond attendant would ...

Royal Caribbean used to be a top cruise line...no longer...this cruise has been Carnivalised...no lobester night unless you pay extra...movies in your room? Only if you want to pay $13.00 a movie, not first run...Happy hour on drinks? On a twelve day cruise... two hapy hours for only two hours and only on two kinds if drinks...too bad... the staff was great but the lines seem to go out of the way ...

Entire ship smelled of smoke from the Casino

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

Itinerary was great. Ship condition was below average. Dated and reeking of smoke. Food was below average. The buffet had the exact same food on it for 12 days. Everything was an up charge. Wine options were below average. The only decent wines were not included in the drink package and were an additional up charge. Why offer a drink package that doesn't include 50% of the drinks. The only ...

Great staff, tight budget

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

The food was a disappointment by cruise ship standards. Breads and deserts showed signs of pre-prepared ingredients, mixes, frozen. Main dining room and Windjammer cafeteria there was a fair selection but the quality was moderate. At times little was on offer, especially in mid-afternoon on port days exactly when you might want a late lunch or snack. No pop-up bbq or special food ...

I wouldn't cruise with them again (royal Caribbean). They don't inform you that there were shuttles available at the ports. They want you to buy there buses to bring you into town at 50.00 each. There were shuttles available for 6 to 8 euro to town. They nickel and dime you to death. No washers on board. They will wash everything for you at 35.00/bag very small. Do your homework ahead of ...
