Fabulous Cruise in All Respects

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

This was not our first cruise but it was our first Royal Caribbean Cruise. We knew that we wanted something longer than 7 days. This was 13 days, a Repositioning Cruise. Initially we chose this particular cruise because it left out of Boston......an hour from our home, and ended in Tampa where we had relatives that we would be visiting after the cruise. Our boarding was fairly ...

We are seasoned cruisers, having over 25 cruises through a couple of decades. Brilliance of the Seas has many positives. We particularly enjoyed that (1) it had a Gluten-free ‘island’ in the Windjammer buffet; excellent to the point that we ate two meals a day there; (2) the staterooms were clean and tidy (thanks to Paul the attendant); (3) it had a good music combo Divas Duo, who played a variety ...

I was very hesitant about this cruise after reading others reviews about this being a "training" ship for the staff, poor service given and poor food choices. We have cruised at least a dozen times but this was our first RCCL. It will not be our last either as I had read others say. I consider myself to be very picky but will have to say, I did not have the same opinion as some previous negative ...

Overall No Major Complaints

The embarkation process was probably the smoothest of our 30+ sailings. The ship was great. Very clean and the staff overall were fantastic; always personable and cheerful. We originally had My time Dining, we did not go the first night as we ate at Izumi's. We found that everything was just as good as it was on the Serenade. Christian our server, was very attentive and professional. We ...

BACKGROUND: My wife and I are both retired and are Platinum level on several cruise lines. This was our 2nd RC cruise and we thought we’d try a Canada/New England cruise. For this review, I decided to give each component a “1” to “5” number grade with “5” being excellent. * BOSTON: We purchased a “Cruiseport, hotel stay and parking” package from STAY123.com and arrived at the Holiday Inn ...

An Excellent Transatlantic Repositioning Trip

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

Whilst my wife and I are experienced cruisers, this was our first Trans-Atlantic crossing. It was our second time cruising with RCI, but our first time aboard a Radiance Class ship. From a loyalty perspective, we are not particularly biased toward any cruise line - we are much more interested in where the cruise will take us. PRE-BOARDING We flew into Tampa from the UK, spending the night ...

This was my first trip to Canada and New England and also my first time on Brilliance. It was a very rainy and cold cruise but I did manage to get lovely days each time I had an excursion planned. The ship is very nice, clean and the staff very friendly. My only complaint was with the porter staff at check in. I purchased the transfers from the airport. I have cruised many many times and I have ...

Pros and Cons of Royal Carribean Brilliance of the Seas

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

This was our first cruise on a large ship and overall, I'd recommend Royal Carribean. It was a very well appointed ship and met our expectations for a midprice cruise line. The cruise ran very smoothly from check-in to check out. Staff was very competent if not as highly refined as one might expect on a high end, luxury class ship. Food was plentiful and about what we expected -- not the kind of ...

Loved our cruise, embarkation in Boston was fast and organized. We got an inside cabin, first time in 20 years. this was a last minute vacation so there wasn't much to pick from for cabins. We thought it was just fine. I would do an inside cabin again without any reservations! The best part of cruising is meeting new people. We find it interesting to hear their story and we heard lots of them ...

Embarkation: Arrived at the Black Falcon cruise terminal at 11:45 am, dropped our bags off with porter and entered the line to register. By the time we got our Sea Pass they were letting people on (noon). We were on ship by 12:20 and I headed to Minstrel dining room to check out our table for ten. We are traveling with four other couples all from the Boston area. All rooms were ready by ...
