We had a 2 for 1 cruise offer so decided to go to the Caribbean islands as we have never been. The Caribbean Islands are amazing. The cruise was geared for an older age group but we did meet some lovely people to socialise with. The cabin service was great. The public dining was OK. The paid restaurants were amazing. Great food reasonable prices. Shore excursions are pricey. Better to get off ...

NCL Dawn 14 day repo Boston - New Orleans

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We chose this cruise mostly for the itinerary. Ports were good. For some reason it took more than an hour to get back on the ship in San Juan, as they only had one gangway open and very little crew working at the gangway. Had some issues with the hot tubs. Some mornings too cold, some mornings hot enough to scald the skin. Bliss Lounge was kept so cold that a few times we left due to the cold. ...

We traveled the Norwegian Dawn on its 7 Day journey to Bermuda and back to Boston in October. There were highs and lows to the trip. We gave it an average score as a result. Embarkation was relatively easy although TSA screening was not. There were long lines for security before we even got to the NCL desks. Seems they did not have enough people staffing the port even knowing there was a ship ...

Very Average Cruise For the Older Crowd

This was our first re-positioning cruise and we weren't expecting the majority of guests to be a part of the over 60 crowd, as we are both under 30. This is one of Norwegian's older ships and while it was clear they tried to update some of the dining options and staterooms, our particular stateroom didn't seem to get the updated treatment. Moderno was a disappointment, clearly stuffed into an ...

Hi all. My wife and I sail on the Dawn from Boston to New Orleans via Puerto Rico, Willemstad, Aruba, Ocho Rios Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico. We have only sailed on P&O and Princess before to New Zealand, around Australia and Pacific Islands. So this was our first for NCL. To compare NCL with the other two is chalk and cheese. NCL being the calk. But we were aware it was a free style ...

Annual Jewel Repositioning trip

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

This is the third year that I have made this trip from Boston on Jewel. Jewel is one of RCI's Radiance class ships which are my favorite as they "look out" to the ocean thru glass walls etc., as opposed to their larger ships which all seem to be oriented "inside" towards their "mall" areas. We left Boston as a howling northeaster was approaching, and thru the night had winds sustained over ...
