Great repositioning cruise

Just got home from our repositioning cruise from Boston to Tampa. Little rough the first days out as we were hit hard with a nor'easter that was pounding coastal US. But as soon as we sailed past Miami, it was wonderful. Not that those rough days were out of the Atlantic ordinary. We really don't mind the rough seas. It was a great trip, we met so many new friends on this trip that we will ...

We were on the repositioning cruise on the Jewel of the Seas, which took us from Boston to Tampa, with stops in St. Thomas, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Barbados, Curacao and Aruba. While we had some nasty weather at the beginning, it calmed down by the third day, and overall our cruise was lovely. This was our second Royal Caribbean cruise, and we really enjoyed the energy on board. The service was ...

Just returned from the re-postioning Cruise on the Jewel out of Boston. This 14 day cruise had 6 full days at sea, and stopped at 6 Caribbean islands as well. THE STORM I noticed others wrote of the storm as we left Boston. It was bumpy ride. The ship rode it out well, considering the captain told us it was one of the worst storms he had encountered in 35 years at sea. My husband and I did not ...

My wife and I live in Michigan and this was the 18th Cruise for me and 19th for her. We have sailed on Princess, Celebrity, Carnival, NCL, and Disney in the past and this was our 6th on Royal Caribbean. This was our Second Cruise on the Jewel of the Seas having done the Baltics on her in the Summer of 2007 which we really enjoyed so thought we would get reaquainted with her on this 10 Day ...

We just got back from an 11-day cruise with Royal Caribbean on the truly magnificent Jewel of the Seas. My husband and I are in our late 50's and this was our second cruise but our first on an ocean liner. In 2007, we had gone on a river cruise in Europe with Uniworld and thought nothing could top that. How wrong we were! This was by far the best vacation ever. We sailed from Boston on a ...

We drove to Black Falcon pier and arrived about 11:30 AM. There were absolutely no lines and check-in was effortless. We waited about 10 minutes in a seating area to proceed ahead to board. Once on board, we took a chance and headed to our Cabin #7108, hump cabin with HUGE balcony. The door was wide open so we put down our Carry-on's, met an assistant cabin steward and proceeded up to the ...

My husband and I are Canadian in our late 50's. This was our second cruise but the first one on an ocean liner. We cruised with Uniworld in 2007 on a river cruise in Europe and thought nothing could top that. We were very wrong. The truly amazing Jewel of the Seas exceeded all our expectations in spade. This was an 11-day repositioning cruise with 6 full days at sea, which was a bonus for us ...

I can only say to begin that I didn't think last years repo could be topped but it was. Last October 2004, the JOTS had been at sea only 6 months and was still working out the kinks. The kinks are gone and The Jewel is exactly as named. Embarkation in Boston was a breeze, arrived by 12 noon and onboard by 12:30p. The Windjammer lounge was in full service mode and from the time we stepped aboard ...

Our second repositioning cruise out of Boston in as many years. Embarkation was surprisingly smooth and our cabins were available shortly after noontime. The Royal Jewel is a beautiful ship! Very impressed with the layout and food available in the Windjammer. We found throughout the cruise that area aft of the Windjammer to be poorly maintained and cluttered and unclean at times. It was ...
