This will be a very in depth review. First I will go over the bad...then I will go over the good.
I cruised with about 45 people in our group. My wife was group leader of 20 cabins.
These reviews are from all of us.
BAD:
The ship does not have a lot of entertainment. 1 theater, 1 small pool, plus a kids pool at the back of the ship. 1 club that plays the same music all the time. ...
I have been on this ship quite a few times, as I am now a Platinum Latitude member. At the time of this sailing, I was Gold. Granted, the latitude rewards are not much, but this time I expected to have discounts for on board shopping and spa treatments, which should have amounted to me saving $150.00. I expected the issue to be resolved after speaking with my cabin steward, who looked into it. ...
We chose this cruise because it left from Boston and we could avoid flying. From the moment we boarded the ship, it was one disappointment after another. There were 3 of us in one cabin and when we booked, we were told the cabin had two twin beds and a pull out couch. There was no pull out couch, but a trundle under one of the twin beds. When we complained, we were told there was nothing they ...
I would really love to give this cruise 5 stars and I probably would have If guest services was not in the picture. I went with a wedding party with over 60 people. The food, entertainment and staff are all incredible. However, guest services is not. If you have an issue and have to rely on them, be prepared for nothing to happen and have to jump through hoops to get anything resolved. We had a ...
Family get-Together for a 92nd birthday party. We encountered a lot of issues.
1)We paid for group photos. We were told that photos were no longer being printed But that we will be emailed our pictures so that WE can print them wherever at OUR convenience!!
2) we paid for an excursion, only to find out the night before, that they enclosed a note stating that we had to find transportation ...
Previously did this same itinerary with the Dawn and loved it, this time extremely disappointed. The servers in Bamboo where not friendly, threw the menus at us when we sat, never smiled, just dropped the plates and walked away. The food in Garden Cafe was terrible, felt it was the same selections day after day. The Spa staff and service was excellent. The room and cabin staff was fabulous, ...
Because it goes right out of Boston- No Flying!!!! & Had a voucher we had to use.
Love Bermuda & the ease of getting on a ship in Boston & be there in days- wish we could of stayed longer in Bermuda. We could of stayed until Wednesday night & still have made it home to Boston by Friday. That would of given us an extra day in Bermuda.
Have gone on Norwegian a few times but was very ...
We enjoyed exploring Boston before cruising down to Bermuda. Let me start with saying that we had a very poor experience for a cruise that was fairly expensive. The embarkation and disembarkation was very slow and poorly organized. The ship had a very strong smell of cigarettes within a floor or two of the Cigar bar. Along with that, the upper deck almost always smelled like smoke when by the pool ...
We took the cruise on the Dawn out of Boston because of the ease of getting to the port and because of the price of the cruise. There were several sales and we felt like it was a good deal for the vacation. The old saying "you get what you pay for" rings true here. We thought that even though the ship had been refurbished, it still had an odd lay out and was cramped.
Dinner- Having a ...
I went on the Norwegian Dawn with my entire extended family for a celebration of my great aunt’s 80th birthday. All together we had a group of 19 people in 9 separate stateroom ages ranging from 80 to 1.5 years old. Nearly all of the group had been on Norwegian’s Boston to Bermuda cruise at least once prior, many of us more than that. We all unanimously agreed that the standards on the ship have ...
