My husband and I recently cruised to Bermuda on the Vision of the Seas. It does not have all the bells and whistles, but the staff make up for it. Big shout out to the Windjammer waiters; Praveen, Jaypee, Raymart, Linton, and Rayan. Our Stateroom Attendant, Roviel, too. They are all attentive, hardworking, and provided excellent service. Fernando and Andre at Latte-tudes always got our ...
My wife and I have not been on a cruise in about 20 years the only reason we went was to celebrate an occasion with a group of people early into the cruise we noticed a sewage smell on the 9th deck that smell was there the whole Cruise on another day towards the bow of the ship they had shut down all the restrooms and on the last day back to Boston out toilet did not flush this ship has a serious ...
You can't control the weather! The weather during the trip was awful with rain, fog and colder than average temperatures. We knew that the weather was going to be a crapshoot when we booked the cruise so although we were disappointed, it didn't ruin the trip for us. If I was doing it again, I would plan for early- June through mid-September for this itinerary when the weather would be a bit ...
I chose this cruise line because it was based out of New Jersey, price was reasonable and we sailed to Bermuda. Well for starters, for the food at the WynnJammer was buffet style 4 out of 10. The dinner was ok, and that was only due to the Optimal service from Ruel and Jeanese. Next. The cabin, bed was as hard as an ironing board(cot), towels stained and the carpets in and out of the rooms ...
I chose the Celebrity Summit out of Bayonne because of the itinerary(Rhode Island, Martha's Vineyard, Charleston, and 2 days in Bermuda). I live in New York and I love sailing out of Bayonne. This was my second sailing with a celebrity(the first was on Beyond), I knew this was an older ship so my expectations were limited. I couldn't book my usual balcony so I was a little concerned about being in ...
My wife and I have been loyal Celebrity cruisers for many years now, going on 6-7-8 (?) different cruises. We always felt that Celebrity knew, understood, and tended to their older-demographic customer base---till now. We were very much looking forward to this, our first post-pandemic cruise, but as it turned out, not as much as we looked forward to the cruise ending!
Let me ‘bullet-point’ the ...
Note: we have been on this ship 2 other times with much better food experiences.
PROS:
* excellent staff
* fantastic cabin steward
* nice sized room for an updated interior
*very comfortable bed with nice sized flat screen tv
* small ship
* nightly entertainment in the theater was decent.
CONS:
* horrible food that made most passengers sick ( my husband got food ...
The embarking and disembarking went very smoothly. The staff of the ship were very friendly and extremely helpful. The shows were great, especially Alex Yost the singer and Alex Ortiz the comedian. The Legends in concert was very good too.
Our main complaints were the food wasn’t up to par in any of the restaurants and the same things were in the buffet all week.
The activities were also ...
My wife and I enjoy the convince of the Port of Baltimore as well as the atmosphere of the smaller ships. The boarding process was quick and easy. Royal Caribbean changed our boarding time from 1030 to 1130 to allow more time to prep the ship. We booked a Junior Suite on the 8th deck near the rear of the ship. I would recommend that you don't book this room if noise bothers you. We thought by ...
Our 9 day cruise was much better then expected. We chose Summit because of the ports and we can drive to the terminal.
Embarkation- We arrived at the terminal around 11:30 for our noon boarding time, scanned boarding pass then walked onto the ship. The process took under 10 minutes.
Dining- We ate in the MDR 7 nights and the experience was very good. The food was well ...
