St. Petersburg, Russia has been on our bucket list for years as has the Scandinavian Countries. We chose this cruise because it encompassed all of the countries we wanted to visit without having to pack and unpack, haul luggage on trains or to planes and it was our hotel, our meals and our entertainment neatly packaged!!!
We were impressed with how Princess handled the 3500 passengers both ...
I recommend this cruise to everyone I know. It's the perfect way to get an introduction to Scandinavia and by far the best way to see St. Petersburg, Russia. Everything about the cruise was stress free and very well organized, the medallions were incredibly easy to use.
Embarkation:
Embarking in Warnemunde was the fastest and most painless experience I have ever had with a cruise. We took ...
This was the second time we have sailed on the Regal Princess. The first was on the Med Cruise on the first few months the Regal went into service. We found the food in the dining rooms not as great at the first cruise, but the staff still helpful and great. The buffet was..well the buffet..as expected. The ports were the attraction for this cruise and they were great. We only used one ...
Took a chance on this Baltic cruise based on itinerary and calander, we've sailed on Princess before and wanted to see what the larger ships had to offer...going smaller next time. The large ships definitely have the glitz and glam but miss the personal feel we experience on Oceania and Windstar.
Embarkation was a breeze taking all of 60 seconds. Gettting on in Warnemunde is easy when 90% of ...
I chose this cruise because it stops in Oslo. Few cruise ships include this beautiful city into their baltic itinerary. If you want a complete baltic/scandinavian experience you cannot afford to skip Oslo. Regal Princess ship is very large but easy for passengers to move around it. Accommodations were comfortable and rooms were very clean. Food was ok. Portions were small but you could always get ...
After a Princess cruise to the Panama Canal on Coral Princess, we had wanted to do another Princess cruise. The Regal Princess was doing the Baltic and then repositioning to North America. We really liked the variety of ports and wanted to do a Trans-Atlantic. We were not disappointed on either itinerary.
The Regal Princess is an incredible ship and it offers much in terms of comfort, ...
We were excited about taking our first cruise on a river plus we wanted to learn more about Eastern Europe and see key cities such as Berlin & Prague. Our one disappointment was to find at the last minute there would not be a short cruise which we had expected, but no cruising due to low water on the Elbe. We were docked at Wittenberg for 4 days and then switched to the sister ship in Dresden for ...
We had not been to Berlin or Prague, and the price was excellent!
My husband and I are very interested in history. Each port had such significance to us, and the guides were all very knowledgeable, and were able to give us their perspective of the area and events. They were able to bring alive the events of 70 years ago.
The art museums were of particular interest also. Our guide was able ...
We had done a Rhine River Cruise with Viking and thought this would be a nice trip in July with warmer weather that our last trip in November. We started with 3 nights at the Grand Hyatt in Berlin, which was far above our expectations. The Elbe was much quieter than the busy Rhine and we enjoyed much more than the Rhine. It was very relaxing to sit on the top deck and watch the storks, campers ...
This was our first river cruise. It went on the Elbe River - Berlin to Prague.
The average age on this ship was people in their 70's. This, of course, slows down the pace and extent of the tours and limits the activities on the ship.
This old ship, with limited facilities, does not represent Viking very well. The only exercise you get is on the land tours, and, as stated, the pace is ...
