This was our first Viking Cruise and it was chosen to get in time in Berlin, Wittenberg and other sights in the former East Germany. The cruise to the outer British Isles was booked in March of 2020 after a very successful cruise up the Norwegian coast. Although this 16 (in my case 18) day "cruise" should have been on the Beyla, only 5 days were spent on the wonderfully serviced ship. Included were 3 paid gourmet meals and excellent service. The rest of the days were spent pack, unpack and get on the early bus. There were only hotel buffets for breakfast. All else was out of pocket. The Elegant Elbe river trip, September 5-13, 2015, was very disappointing. No Viking boats had cruised the Elbe in weeks, and we didn't either.
