This is the worst cruise in my cruising life. Paid for a suite and get as the prisoner meal, eat it or go to deck 7 paid for your favorite meal.that was not people who paid for expensive room and get the hopeless meal. Don't expect live entertainment in other luxury cruise. You will get bore after 3 days. Tour desk officer are very rude, junior promise multi excursion get discount, she ...

The Cruise from Hell

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Viking Star

After all the publicity regarding the Viking Sky off the coast of Norway and the impact on the passengers, it appears that it is not widely recognized what happened to us on the Viking Star in early October of 2016. Our captain, and I am sure Viking, went directly in a significant storm when sailing from Iceland to Greenland in the North Atlantic. According to the captain, who I spoke with ...

Horrible Customer Services following a Cancellation

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Fram

We actually didn't sail on that date as we didn't sail at all and I wanted to share my experience of the customer service you should expect when your cruise gets cancelled by Hurtigruten. My mother was informed of the cancellation when she was about to board the plane to Norway. Not only she spent the whole time crying and worrying, but no alternative was provided. The refund didn't come ...

Very Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Maud

This was our first Hurtigruten cruise (from Svoelvar to Bergen) after having taken seven other cruises globally on other cruise lines. This was a very disappointing cruise. We appreciated the newer ship and some beautiful remote locations but this cruise compares very poorly to other cruises. Only breakfast was included (no lunch or dinner), very few lecture/activities on the ship, little ...

Great cruise, horrible staff

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Vesteralen

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

This cruise was one of the worst experiences of my life. I never felt so un-welcomed and isolated in my life. The cruise itself was great. The scenery was awesome. The relaxing atmosphere was wonderful. The other tourists on the boat were friendly. The staff, however, were a nightmare. Particularly one of the receptionists and the cruise director. I took the 7- day cruise from Bergen to ...

the ship was great, the workers were great, the food was great. very expensive. can get the about the same trip for a lot less. when we signed up for this trip there wasn't hardly any company doing it. now there are a lot of companies doing this for a lot less. the excurions that they offer as free are the same time as the optional ones that cost nicely. Germany was a long ride in a bus that ...

Hurtigruten Horror

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Maud

Truly the MOST money grubbing and mercenary organisation I have ever encountered. Combine this with an appalling military attitude to PAYING clients-customers and you have Hurtigruten. At dinner last night we were served by slamming down our food in front of us . Service I do not think this organisation comprehend the term. Ask for water and be sold very expensive bottled water as the normal and ...

So boring, I had wanted to jump ship by day two.

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Polarlys

I am a 64-year-old, single female traveller. By day two of this cruise, I was so bored and disillusioned, I wanted to jump ship. I was quite prepared to forfeit the $9K I had paid for the cruise just to put an end to the monotony. This email (below), which I sent to my friends while still on board the ship, provides a glimpse into what "The most beautiful voyage in the world" is really like. ...

Should have cancelled and listened to poor reviews

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

User Avatar

While the ship was great, the excursions and tours were a great disappointment. I had been on the river cruise and Viking had that down. I told everyone I could how great it was. I had read poor reviews and called, and was assured everything was fine. I went on this trip to see the countries, so the ship niceties weren't as important to me, but the ship was beautiful and staff was very good. ...
