1-10 of 30 Bergen to the Transatlantic Luxury Cruises Cruise Reviews
Past good experiences and the newness of the ship contributed to our choice. The service is not 6 star and the food is not outstanding. Afternoon tea is well done. The excursions were adequate. The on board lectures were well presented and informative. Our cabin this time was the lowest category. On our first ocean cruise with Viking we had a penthouse category. The service was just ...
This was our first Viking cruise. We cruise about 5-6 weeks a year and usually cruise Celebrity but have also enjoyed Royal Caribbean. For a change of pace and because the reviews were good, we decided to give Viking Ocean a try. We booked the 14 night "In the Wake of Vikings" cruise from Bergen to Montreal.
Well, let's just say we're not drinking the Viking Ocean Kool-Aid. We do not see the ...
We choose this Viking Cruise (not river cruise) to see how Viking does compared to other cruise lines (particularly Regent, Oceania, Celebrity). Viking is getting (three years in a row) some very high marks in the "Cruising" industry.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Viking experience but not necessariy "The Best".........
We loved not seeing the photography, casino, the art autions and liked the ...
We chose Viking because of the advertised quality of the cruise and Viking exceeded our expectations in virtually every way. Our cabin was new, spacious and very comfortable. The variety of restaurants was outstanding and we were always pleased with our meals. The only exception were the fried eggs at breakfast which were sometimes overdone.
We went on virtually every complimentary excursion ...
We chose Viking because we had been to China on Viking River cruise and loved everything about it. This was our first experience with Viking sea cruises. We loved the new ship, the whole ship was beautiful. Public spaces were well thought out and had the right touches. Our cabin was beautiful, spacious, king bed, excellent cabin service and service throughout. The entertainment excellent, tour ...
We picked this cruise because it offered stops at many interesting places that are otherwise not easy to get to. We chose Viking because of the excellent experience we had on previous river cruises with the company.
The ship is beautiful. Very clean and well laid out, and tastefully appointed. A variety of public rooms and places to eat from quiet to very sociable. Service is friendly and ...
The ship is fantastic and the food was incredible. Our room was a delux veranda and other than the closet door being difficult to access it was certainly adequate. The bathroom was quite large with lots of storage. The balcony was comfortable with its chairs and table. I have had better room stewards on other ships but room service was outstanding. Service in the bars was very good but quite ...
We chose this cruise because of its itinerary. We cruised from Bergen to Montreal. To start with, we had booked air through the Viking Air department, something we will never do again. We had assumed they would be more proactive on our behalf than it turned out they were prepared to be. Just days before departure we were facing Hurricane Irma, and they made no effort to fly us out early. We spent ...
This was our first experience with a Viking Ocean cruise after three Viking River cruises. We got off to a bumpy start because our luggage didn't arrive until the next morning. We were nicely accommodated until we finally got our luggage. The ship is beautiful and pristine and the food incredible. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they helped to make the cruise the success that it was. ...
We chose this cruise partially because my Dad was stationed in Newfoundland in WW2 and he spoke of How Iceland and Greenland should have switched names to be more accurate. So, our cruise could be named In the wake of my Dad in WW2.
We have come to expect the excellent cuisine and level of service that Viking offers and the all inclusive nature of traveling with Viking where other cruise lines ...
