We chose this cruise to see Norway and the beautiful Fjords. It didn’t disappoint! The fjords we saw in Flam were spectacular. We took the 12 mile train ride to the Vatnahalsen Hotel and it was very scenic. After Flam we cruised to Stavenger, Norway and did an RIB tour. It went quite fast!! It also was very cold, not sure I would recommend it to everyone. However we did see some nice sites. Next ...
First ocean cruise with Viking. Some elements are the same as cruising with larger ocean cruises such as the lido deck buffet set up and evening dinner and show timing but that's where the similiarities end. Viking maintains it dedication to top notch food and service as experienced on its more intimate river cruises. Things I loved the food was exceptional always and the service in every dining ...
Operations during the COVID lockdown were more difficult and restrictive for passengers and crew but the 450 plus passengers completed the trip without incidents as far as we could determine. The safety protocols in place restricted passenger movement on ashore excursions keeping passengers in a bubble much like the NBA playoff protocols earlier in 2021. We expected this based on phone calls to ...
Our first cruise on Viking Ocean and the Viking Star did not disappoint. A beautiful ship and the staff was excellent. BRINSLEY as cruise director did a great job and was very organized. The guest lecturers were very good and We enjoyed the fact that if we missed the real time lecture, we could view it later in our room. All the public areas were beautifully decorated and cozy. Loved tea at ...
We wanted to see places we had never seen before, especially Barcelona.
Our flights to Bergen were rearranged because of a partial cancellation. The alternate flights set up by Viking got us there at 1:00 a.m.with an 8+ hour delay in London, causing us to miss getting acquainted with the ship and Bergen. Other flights, which would have been slightly more expensive, would have gotten us there ...
Our first ocean cruise on Viking. The small ship had an incredible friendly crew. The entertainment was great. The classical duo in the atrium lounge playing viola and cello wereour favorites. So many dinning choices, Manfredi was our favorite. The cabin stewardsPutu and Mark were always there for us and our special requests. We became great friendswith the bartenders Rico and Rodge , very ...
Only supposed to be 1 night at sea but due to weather we had 2 consecutive days and could not go outside. Ship could not visit Gdańsk.
Been with Viking river cruises before And delighted with professionalism of the staff.
Visited places we wanted Togo
Outstanding staff and food with a variety of restaurants to choose from. Our favourite was the world cafe. No rigid seating in any ...
The cruise happened at the right time and place. We always wanted to go on a Baltic Cruise and had heard so much about Viking Cruises so we thought we would give it a try. Needless to say we weren't disappointed in the least.
Included shore excursions were good and enjoyable and we used them as much as possible.
We signed up for the mix and mingle and to our surprise Viking cruise ...
I chose this ship mainly for it’s itinerary as it was calling in to several ports in Iceland.
When we arrived having been transferred from the airport in a coach to Bergen, we were shown to our state room having already checked in online. Everything went very smoothly.
The statement room was whatnI expected. Not huge, but big enough, with comfy beds, plenty of storage and a nice bathroom. ...
My bucket list always included Iceland and the Faroe Islands and I was very fortunate my wife shared the excitement of these locations. We live in northern Canada and have visited the ocean inlets of Alaska so the fiords of Norway were spectacular but not unfamiliar.
Being my first cruise and my wife's second, we were looking forward to a smaller ship without the casino mentality and we found ...
