We choose this specifically to see the Northern Lights–which we did!
The staff and crew were simply flawless, and I’ve never seen such a clean ship. The food was quite good. Very nice fitness center!
Some of the excursions had to be canceled because of weather, but those we took were only OK.
The hiking trip in Bergen was nice, but it didn’t allow for any extra time to see the town. ...
This trip was postponed from over a year ago due to Covid. The excursions we were able to choose from were exceptional. We are history buffs, so being able to walk the beach of Normandy and Stone Henge was quite memorable. We were also able to explore Puerto by Segway. That was a new experience. We went into many ports that were small, so the towns were not over crowded with the exception of ...
I chose this cruise to visit many places that were new to me. The ship facilities and crew were very nice. The food and wines were delicious and varied. I enjoyed dining at the specialty restaurants also.
My biggest disappointment was lack of free time to shop after included tours. Because of the distance between the port and city downtown area ( in many ports), it was difficult to get ...
This cruise left out of Bergen Norway, to the Norwegian Fjords, Oslo, Denmark, and ending in Amsterdam. We ended up not being able to stop in Denmark because of high winds, so they headed to Amsterdam, and we got two days there instead.
We chose Viking Ocean initially because we had heard such great things about them, and we prefer a smaller ship with less passengers. They are more ...
This cruise was originally chosen to see the Norway, Sweden, Finland and St.Petersburg, Russia. With Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Russia was no longer possible so Viking substituted two islands, Bornholm and Aland. Both sites were interesting but no match for losing St. Petersburg. Viking recognized this and generously gave each guest a future travel credit. We substituted Iceland for Russia ...
We chose this cruise since we wanted to visit the Scandinavian countries. It was our first Viking experience and it met all of our expectations. The service was outstanding and the food was extremely good in all the restaurant facilities. Ample activities were offered on board ship. The entertainment was very enjoyable. The excursions were extremely organized. The entire trip was a very delightful ...
We selected the Viking British Isles cruise because we wanted to see Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales & Northern Ireland so this cruise checked all of those boxes. This was our fourth ocean cruise with Viking in four years so we were very familiar with the decks, restaurants, cabins & processes. This is one of our main reasons for selecting Viking. First thing to discuss is the quality of the ...
We had been looking forward to seeing St. Petersburg but understood why that stop had to be changed, of course, as well as Finland and Estonia. However the replacement stops were mostly unremarkable.
We still enjoyed the trip due to the excellent staff who were always kind and friendly making each day a joy. The entertainment was awesome! And the food was fantastic. We also very much ...
Wanted to try Viking Ocean, and also see Scandanavia. Disappointed that St. Petersburg was cancelled, but that was due to other reasons. Previous Viking experience was a river cruise and was outstanding, so there was a high bar to meet, and other than Viking Air, the cruise did meet our expectations.
We had booked this a couple years prior and, like so many others, COVID had other plans. Part ...
We chose this cruise to see Norway and the beautiful Fjords. It didn’t disappoint! The fjords we saw in Flam were spectacular. We took the 12 mile train ride to the Vatnahalsen Hotel and it was very scenic. After Flam we cruised to Stavenger, Norway and did an RIB tour. It went quite fast!! It also was very cold, not sure I would recommend it to everyone. However we did see some nice sites. Next ...
