Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Voyage (Bergen>Kirkenes>Bergen)
30 July – 10 August MS Midnatsol
Overall a very good but also memorable trip – however, it was memorable for the wrong reason.
Malfunction/break down of machinery/equipment on ships impacts adversely, to a greater or lesser extent, on passengers. The ship operating company, in this case, Hurtigruten, can be judged by how they ...
We decided to travel with the Hurtigruten because we have heard how the coastal journey was an amazing experience, and it definitely exceeded our expectations! From amazing service to beautiful scenery, this is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of Norway. I’ve travelled Norway by railway before, but sailing really allows you to see so much more! Highly recommended for those looking to rest and ...
The parts of the Norwegian Hurtigruten adventure consept function well together: Beautiful nature, local culture and food, lot of points of interest along the Norwegian coastline, interesting lectures and expeditions, solid service with a smile, thorough cleaning and safe hygiene. Our expectations were more than met.
The cruise of the Norwegian Hurtigruten along the Norwegian coastline from the ...
We departed Bergen on August 23, 2018 and returned Sept. 3, 2018. My sister and I went together on this trip, and it was wonderful! The service and food were first class and the ship itself is lovely - the artwork is terrific, the lounges are beautifully decorated, and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate our wishes.
We had an Arctic Superior cabin on the 7th deck, which worked out ...
Came on board to accompany a friend and to see the beautiful landscape of Norway.
Get ready for many non smiling passengers. The staff can be found doing multiple job assignments. Your room can be attended to by the wait staff.
I was happy that our server was attentive to special dietary restrictions. Most speak English fairly well and one guide spoke 6 languages. He seemed like the most ...
A friend and I flew from Gatwick to Bergen. The Transfer was smooth and checking in easy, just a short queue. The ship was beautiful and we had a small outside polar cabin, which was perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. It was a little noisy at night but got used to it after a couple of days.
The food was very good, sometimes too much choice. The set menus were all lovely, and the ...
A dream came true. One of the best holiday experiences.
Exillent service and food onboard. Ship is overall clean and in good condition. Panorama salon is nice to be in during bad weather and evenings. There is a very nice and friendly atmosphere on board. Breathtaking views as you sail by. We were on two excursions by rib boats, Saltströmen and crabfishing, both worth to go on. Trondheim and ...
I must admit after reading some reviews of Hurtigruten's Midnatsol, my husband and I were apprehensive. We were on a tour with Gate 1.
The embarkation process could not have gone any smoother. There were no problems.
We were half afraid to open our cabin but to our surprise the cabin was great. We have been on Viking cruises and two Celebrity (Asmara to Antarctica, Xpedition in the ...
A journey up the Norwegian coast in the winter is like a fairy tale. It's amazing! To see Norway in a more natural light, without tourists, and snow covered is a wonderful experience. I'm so glad I did this. The ship is lovely, and filled with like minded people, all attracted by the prospect of seeing the northern lights. My cruise had many Brits, plus Dutch, Belgium, Germans, Americans... ...
We chose the Northern Lights voyage on the Midnatsol becuase we had taken the same trip two years earlier on a much smaller ship, the Vesteralen. We had had such a good time earlier that we decided to do it again. It just happened that the Midnatsol was the ship that was leaving Bergen on the day that we were able to start our trip.
First, don't pay attention to all the reviewers who ...
