Left out of Bayonne, NJ. Since this was one of it's earlier runs, they still need to work on a few things. This was our first cruise, so the slight embarking problems weren't a problem for us. The ship was huge. However, getting around was pretty easy if you use your head and know the layout of the ship. On average, the food was very good. Main Dining: The tenderloin was excellent. The leg of lamb and the mahi mahi was good. My wife and tablemates thought that the turkey dinner was tasteless, despite the fact that it was juicy. Appetizers were on the small side. The desserts were very good. I pigged out on the deserts because I normally don't eat deserts. Our servers were pretty good, could've been better. Tablemates were very nice. Windjammer: We thought the Windjammer was better than what we had previously heard. Promenade Cafe: Good to grab something in a pinch. Coffee was so-so. There didn't seem to be many activities on the most part. BINGO seemed to be a big favorite. My wife played every session. I napped when she played. I love vacations for napping because I never nap at home, always something to do. Horse Racing was fun to bet on and watch. There was a cooking demonstration which I had wanted to check out, but they were having problems so we left. They had a Digital Camera demo, but they had problems from what I heard. Shows: We went to the Ice Jammin' show. Wife liked it and I didn't care for it. However, I give the skaters tons of credit because the ice surface is very small and it's tough for them to hit their marks. We went to the Love & Marriage show, very enjoyable. Wife went to a Song & Dance show, which she enjoyed. I watched the Stanley Cup game. We didn't see any of the comedians. Ports: St. John and Halifax. We didn't do any shore excursions. We just wanted to check out the cities and enjoy some good seafood. Not much to do on your own in the cities. We walked around and did some shopping. We ate at Steamers in St. John (right next to where you get off the ship), it was very good. Ate at The Salty dog in Halifax, again another good seafood meal for lunch. We didn't go to many of the bars on the ship. Shopping on board was OK. Our room was nice enough. We had a balcony, a must on future cruises. We saw some whales from the balcony. Balcony made the room feel bigger. Weather: Cold, windy and foggy. It was great. I love the cold weather. It was great being cool while walking around the port cities. Still wore my shorts because I had packed mostly shorts. Got off the ship around 9:45 and was home by 10:30. Are we hooked on cruising? Not yet, but we are looking forward to planning another one soon. 8/10. Read Less
