For celebrating our 50 th anniversary we chose Viking for it’s high ratings and ideal itinerary.
Pros-
Ship is beautiful.
Embarkation was easy and well organized.
Bathroom storage is very good and heated floors with nightlights was great.

Two problems - skipped a key port and challenging for someone with a dairy sensitivity! This was our third viking cruise, (the first two were euro rivers,) and second ocean cruise ever.
I appreciate everything Viking does and tries to be. A quieter, more intimate experience with cultural enrichment and classical entertainment. The loud, roudy ocean liners with casinos, kiddos, and cigarette smoke are so not our scene.

While we have taken a couple Viking River Cruises in the past, this was our first Viking Ocean Cruise.....and a wonderful choice. The Viking Venus was a fantastic ship.
