Fantastic Cruise

The cruise started off with a long wait to get on the ship, but we barely had to line up for anything else afterwards, although a lot of older guests seemed to complain about lines to us. We only had to wait at Guest Services for about 10 minutes the entire time of the cruise and even less for our shore excursion. I guess you just have to pick the right time of day to go. This ship has been ...

Please think very carefully before booking this cruise. This was our first ever cruise and all I can say is so very disappointed. As a part of our cruise we were given a tour before embarking the cruise to the forbidden city, and the Great Wall of china. Yes fantastic experience seeing these places but being given the hard sell at a jade factory we were taken to then on route back to the hotel we ...

Bit of a failure Mariner

Firstly we are very seasoned cruisers and usually do not make comments on cruises however we found this cruise as being run mainly for a specific market which left it lacking. The trip to Tianjin from Beijing was organised by our travel agent and was a joke with insufficient buses for the number of passengers and also no organisation, with some buses turning up and others not. We left from ...

Just returned from a 14 night cruise on Mariner of the Seas. I should have realised what we were in for at the embarkation fiasco at Bejing, to say this was horrendous is putting it mildly. However worse was to come. The ship has been given over to the Asian passenger market to the detriment of all other nationalities. Many crew members did not speak fluent enough English to be ...

I have to agree with other comments regarding mariner of the seas , the scene was set from embarkation to disembarkation queuing what a way to spend a holiday either at customer services or for tours. appalling logistics ,organisation, management skills. I have never been on a cruise where after only 3days basic food and beverages had run out ie no butter. entertainment diabolical very poor ...

RCI Disaster

We were really looking forward to this cruise having cruised with RCI in the past and had a wonderful holiday. Stayed in Novotel in Beijing for 3 days prior to cruise which was very good. Ship was spotlessly clean and crew members, as always, were very friendly and efficient, especially our cabin steward who was lovely and worked tirelessly. Usual daytime activities, quizzes, poolside games ...

We were really looking forward to this cruise but from day one what a disappointment and poor value for money The food from day one was up impressive lacked flavouring and seasoning focus was on a taste of Asia we wouldn't have minded but the poor quality on two occasions there was hair In the food and in a desert a large ribbon like piece of plastic On 2 sea days they served a BBQ up by ...

RCC has lost the plot on how to delight its customers

We joined the Mariner of the Seas in Taijing and the queues were awful, there was no organisation or control, it was complete and utter chaos. There was rumours that half of its staff had walked out on RCC including Senior Management. My case with all my medicnes had been confiscated by RCC because it had 2 bottles of "contraband" which caused great distress but was released after one god almighty ...

This is the second time we have sailed with RCI and before this trip it was considered our first choice, but after this it is most probably, the last. From basic organisation and communication the cruise failed in most aspects, as follows: 1. We had paid for "My Time Dining" which entailed paying gratuities in advance, only to be initially told it was unavailable. Then after considerable ...

This was my first cruise ever, after many years of my sisters trying to convince me they were brill.well not the case on r/c.never again. It started at the Beijing port with very long queues, so you think oh well just a queue, ,,,,, But those queues continued right throughout the cruise and I'm talking about a couple of hours sometimes, with lot of frustration and arguing between ...
