We will not write too much about the horrible Immigration to China on 4th of October. We needed 7 hours after a long distance flight from Europe to get the 144 hours Visa and to find the luggagev( which was elsewhere) and then getting a shuttle to our hotel to start the 2 days program in Beijing before cruise started on October 7th. Having previously read bad reviews before travelling, we feel it is only right to set the record straight regarding this particular sailing.
Like may others reading the poor reviews regarding the ship, we were very apprehensive before travelling but these turned out to be unfounded.

The cruise was everything we hoped it would be. From the moment we arrived in China Viking handled everything for us. The hotel in Bejing was first class. First time on a Viking ocean cruise. Great ship. Great staff. Great food. So organized! The daily tours took us places we probably wouldn’t have ventured to on our own. Cruise provided 1) enjoyable and educational excursions. 2) a lot of history. 3) a good understanding of modern China. 4) a great sense of hstory of Okinawa.

This cruise and the experience was amazing. As 4 of only a limited number of English speaking guests on board, we were treated a bit differently from the other passengers.
