It was a wonderful cruise but I am bothered by a couple of things. Fourth AMA cruise. One of the pre cruise hotels were awful, horrible stay I am pretty sure bedbug ridden. This trip from Basel to Amsterdam over 13 days was so good. Last year we went on the Danube from Budapest to Prague but this has much more scenic vistas. The cabins were beautiful with a lot of amenities. I loved the heated towels and fresh flowers among many other delightful amenities. Breakfast and lunch were buffets .They were both really good especially the lunch. Our prior uniworld cruise was so good we went again. The room on this ship was bigger with more up to date features. The only issue many of us had was the speed of the internet which was too slow for FaceTime and other internet activities. The food was excellent quality and diversity of options. Items that needed improvement:
1. The on-board musicians (husband and wife) were not of high quality. Most passengers did not enjoy. On 2 separate nites, local musicians performed and they were excellent.
2. While on ship, more activities should have been organized such as trivia contests, in depth history mini lectures, etc.

The SS Antoinette was a beautiful ship and the personal service was so impressive.
