A few facts to start with..
Azamara Journey, France Intensive. Barcelona to Nice over seven nights stopping at seven ports. Three tendered ports, the remaining docked. All docked ports were in best berth in that particular port. No requirement for a free bus into town at any location. Perfect seamanship, the Journey arrived and departed exactly on schedule each day. Captains broadcasts kept to ...
We are a family of 6, mom, dad, 19, 17, 6, 3.
July 24-31 BCN-BCN
We had two cabins 10087 and 10088. Booked flights through NCL with one free flight included per cabin. Since we had two cabins, they actually booked flights for each cabin separately and our family was split up 3 and 3 on separate flight itineraries! I was shocked that they would do this, but when I called (on hold for an ...
Even though this is the oldest of the EDGE class ships it is my favourite. I think it must be the staff on the EDGE make all the difference. .
Not much to add to my last review of the EDGE, apart from....
If you are not happy with anything on the ship from dining to entertainment don't moan about it, or accept it, do something about it. In nearly all circumstances, the staff on the ship ...
On our first evening in suite 844 the vibration was dreadful. The entire bathroom vibrated, as did the bedroom. Worst of all was the bed vibrating. Our entire bodies shook. It was distressing and made us both feel almost sick. First thing in the morning my husband reported the matter, but somehow it was not seen as a complaint! After three visits to reception, we eventually got a member of ...
We felt that the food on this cruise was not up to par. We visited three of the specialty restaurants and decided to not go back to them the following week. In the Wind Jammer many of the hot foods were cold and cold foods were warm. They were often out of ice on both sides. They were often out of certain sodas in the self serve. The ship is older which we understand but the outlets in the cabin ...
We booked this cruise for the great ports of call that we're on offer. The itinerary was sete, toulon, corsica, palma de mallorca, ibiza, cartagena, valenica and back into Barcelona.
Embarkation was a breeze, the emuster drill is fantastic and saves a lot of time on the first day to do fun stuff around the ship.
Dining however seems to be where the ship is having problems. The windjammer ...
Simply put, we chose this particular cruise line and itinerary because of the price. It was literally 1/2 the price of Royal Caribbean and about 1/3 less than other cruise lines, along with all of the perks (free premium beverage package, Internet minutes, etc.) and the smaller ship size.
Overall, the cruise didn't live up to our expectations. We've cruised RC and Princess in the past with ...
We sailed on Norwegian Epic July3-July10 2022 the ports of call were absolutely amazing and the shore excursions were top notch! The casino staff and the staff in the bar outside Cagney's are great! That is where my praise ends, the ship is gross. We had a mini-suite and our stateroom was dirty when we arrived; unidentified substance on wall in shower. We found a shirt on floor next to bed. Day ...
Itinerary was awesome hitting Corsica, Rome, Sicilly, Portofino, Villenfranche, Toulon starting from Barcelona. Inside cruise ship rooms were large. We had two connecting inside rooms on deck 8 that were perfect for us. Dinner main dining room food was superb, especially the meat dishes. Main dining service, and room service was exceptional. The best of six Royal Caribbean cruises we ever ...
Our 3 generational family of 11 wanted to go on a mega ship. Some parts were great; others disappointing. The Aqua Theater show was wonderful. The ice show was a disappointment compared to the ice show that we saw on the Freedom in 2020 that used drones. This show was based on the board game Monopoly and was a yawn. It was disappointing that there weren't more variety/entertainment shows in ...
