We had a wonderful experience. the food was terrific, service friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. EPIC may be a great cruise ship for the Mediterranean Sea: Spain, Italy, and France are the epic draw while the ship offers a decent experience while getting you from port to port. Our family of 4 traveled on the Epic for my husbands 40th birthday. Having sailed with NCL 10 years before we were very excited. However, the Epic ship is in generally poor condition. Cannot recommend The Norwegian Epic enough, absolutely fantastic ship and on the whole professional and attentive staff.
Boarding starts at 1200 but cabins aren’t available until 1400, so no rush to board unless you want to get on early like we did and get your bearings and enjoy a glass of bubbles or two.

I chose this cruise based on the itinerary. We chose to embark from Barcelona because it was much closer to the port and I prefer starting my cruise on a weekend day.
