"Overall, though, this was a wonderful cruise experience and we have booked three more Viking cruises (but also two Holland America cruises booked for 2023-2024).Criticisms included: major disappointment in substituting Holyhead for Liverpool after the close of reservations, self-serving in buffett (unlike Holland America and came home sick) weak WIFI in rooms, rooms needing to be one foot wider for passenger passing, two included tours had less than ideal guides, and the 6:30 time for expert talks which conflicted with 6:00 PM start time for dinners...."Read More

1-10 of 35 Barcelona to Europe - British Isles & Western Viking Ocean Viking Star Cruise Reviews
Our first Viking cruise (17th overall cruise with multiple vendors, global-wide destinations, and 7-35 day durations). We found this to be the most complete and comfortable cruise experience with have had--engaging passengers, superbly attentive crew, amazing food, comfortable room with balcony, rarely a sense of a crowd especially in public spaces, seamless embarkation and disembarkation ...
We chose this cruise because of the varied and interesting itinerary. Our only concern was which clothes to pack because of the different weather extremes we expected, but turned out the weather was perfect everywhere. Since Viking supplies convenient self-service laundry facilities, turns out we overpacked and next time we will be more judicious. This was our third Ocean cruise (10th overall on ...
Because of the unique and amazing itinerary, we truly LOVED this cruise! Sailing to all of the very different ports made for a very interesting experience and one that we will never forget. The crew was great, especially the cruise director, Aebhin O' Neill and Jonny the assistant cruise director (don't recall his last name). The entertainment was top notch, especially the 4 Viking vocalists and ...
The itinerary was a huge draw for me. So many places I'd never been topped off by Iceland and mixed with lovely visits to old favorites.
Plus it was my first Viking cruise and a friend had raved about it.
My only other cruise experience had been the Caribbean with island and Mexico stops. Not really my cup of tea, large ships, lots of partying and the constant ding ding ding of the casino. ...
We chose this cruise for a break after the Christmas festivities. Fewer crowds.
Took the included tours. While informative, somewhat boring. Will consider “pay “ tours in the future. I strongly DO NOT recommend included tour in Cartegena. On the bus looking at the poverty of the area then to a less than photographic lighthouse. Then back on the bus. No time to explore/ shop in the city prior ...
We have been on a number of Viking River Cruises and wanted to see how the Viking Ocean Cruises compared. From the moment we left the airport the service given by the Viking staff was amazing. You did not have to wait for the coach to fill so when we arrived at the ship boarding was so quick as we were in a small group. The cabin was lovely as were all of the crew.
The food was amazing in every ...
We have previously traveled on Silverseas and Seabourne and are now Viking Converts. We enjoyed our trip so much that we have booked a trip later in the year in the same cabin. As both Seabourne and Silverseas have a smaller number of passengers, we were a bit worried that the ship would be crowded, however we were pleasantly surprised that this was, on the whole, not the case. With the ...
We chose this cruise because we had been on a Viking River Cruise the previous year and really enjoyed it. Viking had the best ratings. Almost everything about the trip was wonderful. The ship was beautiful, staff was super friendly and helpful. The stateroom was exceptionally comfortable and well designed so that there was plenty of closet and drawer space. The ship was also very clean and well ...
As always, the service staff was exceptional, from our arrival in Barcelona to our departure at Heathrow. The restaurant professionals were courteous, pleasant and friendly, unlike many of the guests. May I suggest hiring some entertainers and staff from the destinations being traveled. That was a feature that made our Russian voyage so richly rewarding.
Evidently, the Brits received a much ...
Very good value for money. Good time to get away after Xmas. Very convenient as we live in West Sussex. Usual high standard which we have come to expect from Viking. Good sized cabin with adequate balcony. Very well furnished and equipped. Excellent and good sized shower room with heated floor and main mirror. Very wide choice of food at all meal times. First class main restaurant on deck 7 which ...
