A PERFECT CRUISE

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Viking Sea

i can't say enough about the itinerary and the staff! Each stop was a great adventure. One scheduled stop/harbor was closed due to weather and an optional stop and full day of excursion was set for us (at no additional cost). We loved the eating options....each one was fabulous. The places that asked for reservations.....if we were unable to get a reservation, we just stopped and talked to ...

A great value for the money paid, I highly recommend this cruise company, the ship and the crew, and this itinerary. Every one smiles, says good or evening and what can we do help you today, outstanding service. The positive vibration is tremendous. The food is very good, fresh, tasty, enjoyable like any multiple star restaurant. The menus have a good selection of different plates to choose from. ...

This was our first experience with Viking and, though all-in-all a good cruise, we departed feeling like there was room for some improvements. Viking’s reputation and recent ratings speak for themselves, so my wife and I were very much looking forward to this cruise, our sixth. We sailed from Barcelona, Spain on the Viking Sea ocean ship, ending up in beautiful Bergen, Norway. The 15-day ...

Wide variety of ports and great weather

The wide variety of ports of call were a big reason we chose this cruise. We lucked out on the weather as it was delightful in almost every port. Spain was lovely. It was interesting to experience Holy Week in another country and culture. Barcelona is very walk-able. Exploring the waterfront and Las Ramblas was a good way to start the trip. A shuttle from the ship to the Columbus Statue ...

Trade Routes Cruise with Viking

We have done a number of river and ocean cruises with Viking and know we can expect a great itinerary, wonderful food, excellent service and if anything isn’t quite right, they make it right. The cruise departed from Barcelona and ended in Bergen, Norway. We chose this cruise because it included some ports we hadn’t visited and some we had, with the biggest draw being the Normandy beaches. We ...

This was our first cruise with Viking Ocean. In general, Viking Ocean provides a very good product. Specific strengths and weaknesses we experienced are noted below. EMBARKATION/DISEMBARKATION - The fastest/smoothest we’ve ever experienced. STATEROOM: Deluxe Verandah, #5003, quite forward under part of the bridge. Best bathroom we’ve ever experienced, especially the heated floor and ...

The itinerary was nicely organized so that we had great tours with quiet days in between to relax. The crew members were very friendly and caring and always tried to make sure everything was perfect. The port talks were very informative and it was handy having them recorded and available in our room so we could watch them at our convenience. The dress code was nice and relaxing, you don't ...

Absolutely Wonderful Cruising Experience!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sea

We chose Viking Ocean Cruise line because of the small ships, exciting itinerary, inclusive value, no sales pressure on board and adult only environment. The cruise offered everything we were looking for in a cruise without the high price tag. One crew member stated it correctly in my view that Viking offers "Premium" cruising. I agree with that statement. The ship was pristine and very inviting. ...

Great first trip on Viking Ocean Cruises

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sea

I chose Viking Sea because of it's reviews over the internet. I wanted an ocean cruise that did not have a crowded trip with casinos, children, and all types of commercial distractions. I was not disappointed and have signed up for 2 more ocean cruises with Viking in 2019. The trip was well planned with the on-shore tours comfortable and very informative. The food and service were excellent ...

Overpriced and Overrated

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sea

User Avatar

The old saying "you get what you pay for" does not apply to Viking. We paid for a high-end, upscale cruise and got a 3 star experience. At the price point paid I expect to get personalised service as has been experienced on other ships at this price point. It is the little things that make a big difference and Viking seem to be missing this point compared to similar cruise lines. If I had paid ...
