This was an excellent cruise line. One of the outstanding features is that it is really an adults only cruise. I have nothing against children but it's not relaxing when you have to listen to whiny children on a cruise you've worked so hard to be able to pay for. Time and place, etc. It was educational as well. Shore excursions offerings were spectacular and educational. The guides ...
I choose this ocean liner as I have heard all good things, when booking I had excellent service. And through out the whole process it was incredible. We will never use any other ocean liner than the Viking we loved it far above our expectations!! The staff was helpful every time, food incredible and the staff their we’re superior. The food everywhere on the boat was increadible, fresh and ...
We selected this ship and its itinerary as we wanted to visit this part of the world and this cruise fit our schedule. I particularly wanted to see Barcelona and return to Monte Carlo. This brand new ship, the Viking Orion, was beautiful. I loved the design and openness of the ship and the various touches of technology. Food was first rate, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and ...
Orion was immaculate, a new ship and the crew was together just two months prior to our sailing; so in essence, everyone was "new" onboard. In true Viking fashion, everything went very smoothly (for us). We essentially sailed what's now called Mediterranean Odyssey (Barcelona to Venice). Our cruise was somehow overbooked, so the ship seemed more crowded than usual, full capacity I'm sure. ...
First, we, like many others on the ship, did not realize that the itinerary could be extended to 14 days and we disembarked at Civitavecchia. The embarkation in Barcelona was somehow affected by the local taxi strike, causing us to sit on a bus (thankfully, air-conditioned) in the port for an hour rather than a lounge at the World Trade Center. Because the Viking Gaudi tour was already sold out, ...
Excellent service on a previous river cruise allowed us to look forward to this ocean cruise with much happy anticipation. Our pre-cruise stay in Madrid was wonderful. Our hotel was near the public transportation line and we had no trouble traveling throughout the beautiful city. We spent two days at the Prado and surrounding area, and never tired of walking around the town. The bullet train ...
I have been on many many cruises in my life, but this Viking cruise was the absolute best. I have to say it’s spoiled me for amy other cruise line. The ship was gorgeous, but in a very classy way. No “Vegas type “ atmosphere. Just clean well thought out architecture.
The service on Viking is outstanding. Cruise staff remembered my name every time and also remembered my drink order. The buffet ...
Viking was our first and only choice for an ocean cruise. The Viking Orion is a smaller ship with only 930 passengers (a huge selling point for us). We did a 15 Day Grand European river cruise two years prior so we knew what level of service to expect. They did not disappoint! First class again in every way!
We were welcomed at the Barcelona World Trade Centre by the Viking staff with ...
First time sailing with Viking and we were not disappointed. The ship was brand new and luxurious. The food at all restaurants was top notch. Manafred’s was our favorite and we dined there twice. Service was over the top. Most tours were very good but some (Canne) included a very long bus ride - at least 2-1/2 hours each way - which was too much time on a bus for us. Room was spacious, well ...
We chose this cruise for our honeymoon and could not be happier with our choice!!! The ship was absolutely breathtaking, everything we could imagine was available and then some (ex. The bathrooms in the staterooms have heated floors and mirrors...). The amenities on board kept us entertained an interested, and we didn't even get to try everything. The dining was fantastic, specially restaurants ...
