I was apprehensive about so many sea days but I quickly fell into a relaxed mode and enjoyed the slow pace. Food was five stars every meal. Crew was above and beyond customer service! Plenty of places for solitude or activity with groups. Chef Gary did pop up lunches in the cafe several days and that was a treat. I’m never seen the head chef so engaging and he was delightful. The pool was tranquil ...

Wonderful cruise experience with unfortunate specialty dinning incidents

We went on our first Viking cruise in Nov 2022 after an extensive research. It was a Christmas River cruise on the Rhine river and we had a fantastic time. We were so impressed by the Viking team that we booked an ocean cruise with Viking for April 2023 (this cruise). This Iconic Western Mediterranean cruise started without a hitch from the airport pickup to checking into our stateroom. Once we ...

Another Memorable Viking Cruise!

We selected this cruise from an offer we received from Viking because we had traveled with them previously. The itinerary looked interesting so we booked the cruise. We are both retired so we have the flexibility to make plans with short notice. The only major disappointment we had was the cancellation of one of our excursions: "Michelangelo's David without the Crowds". This was a very ...

We did three river cruises with Viking before taking our first ocean cruise this Fall (Iconic Western Mediterranean). Wow. I could have easily spent a couple days just at sea enjoying all this ship has to offer. The spa! One of the best features on these ships. Simply amazing. And...included! You can snow grotto/sauna/steam/whirlpool...your fanny off. They even have lockers ...

Have done a Viking River Cruise & had great experience, so decided to do Viking Ocean Cruise. Wanted a worry-free trip where all was paid for in advance from pickup at airport to pre-excursion to ship to post-excursion to airport. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly with no issues. Ship was top notch with well appointed cabin. Was a great Mediterranean experience with gorgeous views. ...

Itinerary was what we wanted to see with included excursions. Enjoyed the beverage inclusion. The tour guides were above average. We felt like we could relax when we wanted to and do activities when we wanted. The entertainment was fair and would have preferred a higher level of singers. The one thing we would have liked was access to a sports channel for those of us that follow college football ...

We chose this cruise primarily for one reason, no young kids, no casinos, no water slides, no discos. Viking is about 1st class cruising without the carnival atmosphere so many of the big ships are into these days. The ship was perfect. Every crew member speaks to you no matter their job or class. The food was excellent and just a wonderful experience in whole. With the smaller ocean ships of ...

I had always hoped to visit countries along the Mediterranean, particularly Italy and Croatia, so my husband and I chose the Mediterranean Odyssey because of the itinerary that included those two countries. The cruise was more than we expected. The size of the ship, the choices for dining, the activities, the shows, the excursions and all amenities were wonderful. The staff were always happy, ...

Chose this cruise in order to visit many of the famous sights around the Mediterranean we had long wanted to see. In this regard, the cruise met our every expectation, although we do wish we had added additional days before and after our cruise to better explore and enjoy both Barcelona and Venice. We think an additional day or two "at sea" (there was only one) would be great in order to improve ...
