1-10 of 176 Barcelona to the Mediterranean Viking Ocean Viking Sea Cruise Reviews
This was our first experience with Viking. We had considered a River Cruise for 2024 but changed our minds. Mid summer we received an email from Viking that had several cruises at the end of the year that included International Air. This being a Transatlantic Cruise with a great price. I wasn't sure how we would stay busy for one stretch of 6 days across the Atlantic. We found plenty to do, ...
Just got home from my cruise on the viking sea for a cruise in the Med. This ship and crew were flawless. The level of detail in the customer service area is unmatched. I have worked on cruise ships myself and never experianced service like this. The ship its self is understated and on board entertainment is geared to be light because everything is centered around the ports of call. The rooms ...
We travelled with 6 others of our family & friends. It was the first Viking experience for all of us. We all were very impressed with every aspect of the entire cruise. The staff is top notch and very well trained in taking great care of the passengers. The ports of call were wonderful and the included excursions were pretty good for the most part. It would be nice to have a longer time in each ...
We have always wanted to cruise the Mediterranean. We have done several cruise lines over the years - this was our first Viking Cruise. We loved the smaller boat that didn't sacrifice on quality in any way. The staff was beyond courteous, the rooms were kept spotless, the food options were great. It was such an stress-less way to travel! It was disappointing to have Split, Croatia dropped ...
Our second ocean cruise with Viking. Even better than the first. We'd booked this trip just before Covid shut everything down so it was long anticipated. And Viking Sea certainly delivered. Excellent staff, especially housekeeping. Ernesto, our room steward, could not have been more attentive. Our Cruise Director, Manny Rodriguez, was fabulous! What a gifted singer and entertainer! The Assistant ...
Two of our bucket list sites were on the itinerary so we went with it. We were celebrating 50 years of marriage (three months late) with 8 close family and friends and wanted somewhere we could all enjoy. Minor detail like flight out of Tampa being delayed, then cancelled did not deter our trip. We arrived later in the day but were pleasantly pleased with our hotel and enjoyed our two days of ...
We chose this cruise because it was more inclusive as far as shore excursions, wine/beer/soft drinks with meals, fewer passengers, some educational lectures, interesting destinations. Self laundry was also available so we could pack light and not check luggage as we did not want to risk lost luggage.(I overheard that some passengers never got their luggage.) This of course had nothing to do with ...
We wanted to see southern Europe and this trip covered six countries. Awesome staff. Ground excursions did not miss a beat.
Plenty available seating and you don’t have to fight for pool or deck chairs.
The ship’s decor is impressively contemporary and not cluttered. No casinos and no photographers adds to the serenity of the ship.
Staff is extremely courteous and helpful.
The food ...
Cruise was originally arranged by a relative, who later backed out, but we decided to go anyway without her. From the time we were picked up at the airport in Barcelona, Spain until we were dropped off at the Venice, Italy airport, Viking did everything. Service onboard was top notched, from the ship's Officers, service staff and even regular crewmen. They were all friendly and pleasant. The ...
I wanted to see a few of the more notable cities of the Mediterranean. My husband had planned the trip for me before he died a year ago. The cruises offered by Viking along the Mediterranean coasts were perfect. Sailing during the nights and only one day was really great. Going from Barcelona to Marseilles to Monte Carlo, then on to see Tuscany, Naples and Corfu, Greece was just enough of a stay ...
