This was our first cruise with Viking Ocean. In general, Viking Ocean provides a very good product. Specific strengths and weaknesses we experienced are noted below. EMBARKATION/DISEMBARKATION - The fastest/smoothest we’ve ever experienced. STATEROOM: Deluxe Verandah, #5003, quite forward under part of the bridge. Best bathroom we’ve ever experienced, especially the heated floor and ...

A PERFECT CRUISE

i can't say enough about the itinerary and the staff! Each stop was a great adventure. One scheduled stop/harbor was closed due to weather and an optional stop and full day of excursion was set for us (at no additional cost). We loved the eating options....each one was fabulous. The places that asked for reservations.....if we were unable to get a reservation, we just stopped and talked to ...

A great value for the money paid, I highly recommend this cruise company, the ship and the crew, and this itinerary. Every one smiles, says good or evening and what can we do help you today, outstanding service. The positive vibration is tremendous. The food is very good, fresh, tasty, enjoyable like any multiple star restaurant. The menus have a good selection of different plates to choose from. ...

This was our first experience with Viking and, though all-in-all a good cruise, we departed feeling like there was room for some improvements. Viking’s reputation and recent ratings speak for themselves, so my wife and I were very much looking forward to this cruise, our sixth. We sailed from Barcelona, Spain on the Viking Sea ocean ship, ending up in beautiful Bergen, Norway. The 15-day ...

Trade Routes Cruise with Viking

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Viking Sea

We have done a number of river and ocean cruises with Viking and know we can expect a great itinerary, wonderful food, excellent service and if anything isn’t quite right, they make it right. The cruise departed from Barcelona and ended in Bergen, Norway. We chose this cruise because it included some ports we hadn’t visited and some we had, with the biggest draw being the Normandy beaches. We ...

Wide variety of ports and great weather

The wide variety of ports of call were a big reason we chose this cruise. We lucked out on the weather as it was delightful in almost every port. Spain was lovely. It was interesting to experience Holy Week in another country and culture. Barcelona is very walk-able. Exploring the waterfront and Las Ramblas was a good way to start the trip. A shuttle from the ship to the Columbus Statue ...

The itinerary was nicely organized so that we had great tours with quiet days in between to relax. The crew members were very friendly and caring and always tried to make sure everything was perfect. The port talks were very informative and it was handy having them recorded and available in our room so we could watch them at our convenience. The dress code was nice and relaxing, you don't ...

Fun on the ocean

Area covered is of interest. Our son was in Estonia which was an added bonus on the cruise. Enjoyed our Viking River Cruise so wanted to try an ocean cruise. Missed two ports due to weather (Guernsey Island off England) and Denmark due to a previous accident in the canal. Missing these two ports was a real disappointment and the cruise line should address the situation after the cruise has ended. ...

The Viking Sea and Experience of a Lifetime

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sea

The ship was lovely. Common areas resembled living rooms or casual seating so you felt like you were at home. The broad expanse of windows in the Explorers Lounge was one the favorite gathering spots. The crew were very friendly and called you by your name within a few interactions. Our steward was very attentive and eager to please us. The food was better than most cruise ships ...

We had not been to some of the countries and we wanted an overview. The shore excursions were all very good and the guides were all very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a wonderful cruise and we enjoyed every moment. Viking Ocean cruises are the VERY best! Lovely accommodation, fabulous crew and absolutely gorgeous ships. We enjoyed the onboard games, the sports deck and the entertainment was ...
