"No one could verify if we needed a Covid test prior to our sailing due to the itinerary (which included Greece).None of the guests were notified AT ALL, and when we arrived at the port the day of, we were told there were no watersports and we would be docking in the bay instead of offering this luxury perk...."Read More

1-9 of 9 Barcelona to Europe - Western Mediterranean Windstar Star Legend Cruise Reviews
Just got off Wind Star legend Mediterranean cruise. What a total disappointment although the rooms were spacious and the ship was very clean. Everything else lacked luster. Absolutely mediocre food and the main dining room felt like you were eating in the cafeteria. The pool was extremely small and the same five people had the space the whole time. Although the staff was excellent, you could ...
We previously cruised with Windstar on their "Dreams of Tahiti" itinerary and loved the entire experience. Both ships on our cruises were Star Class ships meaning all of the rooms were suites and everything is in a larger scale than their sailing ships. This second time around we were less than impressed. It all started with the help line dedicated to the cruise line. No one could verify if we ...
This was the second cruise of a B2B from Lisbon to Rome. This cruise went from Barcelona to Rome. Glitter and Glam 7 days. We had the same cabin for both cruises. The B2B experience was very good. Our boarding card was the same for both cruises. On the turn around day, we departed on a private tour. When we returned later in the day, we walked back on the ship. It was the best b2b turn around day ...
The Barcelona to Lisbon cruise was excellent. The captain and crew were magnificent. The cabin accommodations were comfortable, ship very clean and maintained, excellent dining in the main dining room. The "Veranda" for breakfast and lunch was nice and "American" style buffets and order from menu with "specialty foods" supposedly picked up at our various ports by the chef. Didn't really take ...
This was our first cruise (other than on a very small ship in the Galapagos) and, while friends had highly recommended Windstar, we had some trepidation, i.e., the food would be pedestrian, the service mediocre and the passengers geriatric). Wow, were we wrong.
We typically stay in five star hotels and found our suite comparable to any place we've stayed. We were in the owner's suite which ...
My wife and I took the Star Legend cruise from Barcelona to Rome in late September, 2015. It was my first cruise trip and I enjoyed the ship, the crew, the food, the ports, and our excursions (with one blip). The ship is on its inaugural trips this summer after a refurbishment. Our room (277 sq. ft.) on Deck 6 was ample sized and well laid out. Virtually all the rooms are the same size with ...
We had just come off a 10 day amazing trip to Morocco so climbing aboard the Star Legend was quite the contrast. They have done a great job renovating the ship (although we did not see it before). Our rooms were fabulous. Lots of seating space, closet space and bathroom space. We did get a room with sliding glass doors which we left open numerous nights to enjoy the fresh air.
We ...
We've sailed on the Legend when she was part of the Seabourn Line, so we know what this ship offers, the plus and minuses. I'm not going to compare my service experience to Seabourn, as this is a totally different line. My review will be based on a line such as Celebrity or Princess Sailing.

The refurbished interior is done very good. I'm an Interior Designer and I like what they ...
This was my first Windstar cruise. Based on the prices and their own marketing material - how they position themselves as a luxury experience for the most discerning traveler - and having been on a whole range of other cruise lines, I expected a good-to-great experience. What I got was more like a poor-to-mediocre one. Disappointment abounded - from the food to the ports of call to excursions to ...
