Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Jupiter

We wanted to 1) cross the Equator for the first time by ship, rather than by air (which we have done a number of times), 2) visit the countries in which the ship would dock, as we had not been to many of them before, 3) visit Patagonia, an area in which we had a special interest 4) enjoy the high quality of Viking service for a month. Sadly, a) because of a very few cases of Covid on board, ...

The fitness and spa areas were outstanding. The massages were top notch, really could not have been bettter. Egor, from Brazil, is the best. The spa area seemed like a hidden, secret oasis. Very, very nice. Michael, the guitar player was excellent. Comedy/magic show was very good. Speakers did very well - very interesting. The Baggo games, ship building, and trivia competitions were all ...

We definitely enjoyed our cruise on the Emerald and we will be returning for the February cruise in the Pacific. Several of the shore tours were outstanding. I’m especially referring to the tours on Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Ponta Delgada in the Azores. Since we have visited these islands on previous cruises we know there are several excellent tours from which to select. Cartagena and Malaga ...

This was our first cruise to South America. Crossing the Equator to the southern hemisphere is a unique experience. The 16 night itinerary from Barcelona to Buenos Aires included several ports of call we’ve never visited, and the cost was reasonable. We’ve sailed on the Eclipse several times, and were not concerned with getting bored on many days at sea. We arrived in Barcelona after a 2 ...

Having sailed with various other cruiselines we liked the itinerary (never been to Rio) free drinks package, cabin upgrade and had seen recent reviews. Embarking in Barcelona.............a long process. Difficult to know what was happening. We all had our numbers for processing. Needed to keep asking what was happening. Not a lot!!! Eventually spotted movement. Need to pay attention as no ...

Four years ago my husband and I took a repositioning cruise on RCCL's Vision of the Seas, from Rio to Lisbon. We had such a relaxing, wonderful time that this year we decided to repeat the experience, and take the repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Rio on RCCL's Rhapsody of the Seas. Overall, we had a good time — we were lucky to have been assigned a cabin in a quiet part of the ship, and our ...

This was the 3rd RCI cruise of the year for my wife and I, the others were on the Allure and the Explorer. We were concerned that this Vision class ship might be too small in comparison to the others and we were a bit concerned as to how stable it would be crossing the Atlantic to Brazil as my wife suffers if the seas are rough. It was actually fine. The worst bit turned out to be between ...
