Broken Promises and Uncaring Corporate Staff

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

I have been on several cruises in the past ,not always NCL, and a couple and I had made reservations on the Epic for a Western Mediterranean 7 day Cruise in November of 2014 through Norwegian themselves. Come February, we were changed from the original dates to a week later without being informed or asked our permission. This was due to a change in the dry dock of the Epic. I understand safety ...

Norweign Spirit-Med Cruise

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

The ship is unkept, dusty, dirty and in need of refurbishing. It is small without a lot of activities. The shows were decent. The Windows restaurant service was slow and a huge downgrade from normal luxury cruise line service. The menu is the same every night with a special added. Nothing exciting, no lobster night. Average food-nothing gourmet or exciting. Same ole every night. Our room was ...

A let down

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Paid top price for this cruise on the Oasis of the Seas from Barcelona to Rotterdam and bought a drinks package how if I had know what I know now after just arriving home I would have spend my money on another cruise. The main problem is that the ship was going into dry dock in Rotterdam and I suppose that Royal Caribbean just wanted to make as money as they could whilst sailing over from the USA ...

How can people behave so badly?

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Favolosa

This was our first ever cruise. A formal cruise didn't appeal so we opted for the informality of an Italian-basewd trip. The ship itself was fantastic and our balcony cabin spacious and comfortable. We love Italian food so were in heaven with the menus. We also opted for the drinks package so I did drink my body weight in prosecco! Didn't do the organised trips as we just preferred to explore on ...

Regal Princess Disaster Cruise (Read if kids travelling!!)

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Regal Princess

Breaking this into easily digestable sections: The ship: Regals obviously looks pleasing to the eye but don't let it fool you, despite the fancy new atrium and attractive fittings is a flawed ship (see scores for Royal). It has tried to improve on the design flaws of the Royal with minimal success. There are NO midship stair ways resulting in overburdened central lifts that (I'm not joking) can ...

The Worst Cruise Experience Ever

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Noordam

We were on a cruise of 3 eleven day legs and if not for the ports, which is what we took this cruise for, the experience of Holland America and the Noordam would turn you off from ever wanting to go cruising again. We are not novice cruisers and have taken at least 15 cruises on other cruise lines but this was the first and last on HAL and have never experienced such treatment. We were in cabin ...

My First Cruise & Very Disappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

I've just come back from a 12 night Royal Carribean Mediterranean cruise and I would never cruise again. For me the whole experience was overpriced, tacky and a rip off. As some of the other reviewer's comments have suggested, I found RC's approach to be totally mercinary - they sought to take extra money from clients at absolutely every opportunity. First, the good points: The ship was a ...

Terrible

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

The ship was huge and VERY crowded. My impression is that they built in as many state rooms as possible and large bars and casinos trying to make the largest profit. Our aft state room was so small and shabby; there was no space to put luggage and belongings. There are 8 elevators on each level, but they were always full. It was always easier to walk on the stairway to get to different decks. The ...

Seriously Disappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

-If there is a 'must see' sight on your tour, double check what day of the week you will be in that city, and see what hours the sight is open that day. We were in Istanbul on Sunday, and the Grand Bazzar was closed. I was so very disappointed that my wife couldn't go shopping ;-) -Raffles (deck 12 aft) frequently opens early. This is especially important on days where the port is far away from ...

I wish I had read some of the reviews here before we embarked on our first ever cruise!!  It was awful!! Our cabin was right at the front of the ship, very comfortable bed and the shower was good. Loads of wardrobe space, not noisy.. it was advertised as having sofa and eating area, it didn't, just a double bed and a desk and wardrobes. .Very far from the lifts, a very long walk to breakfast and ...
