We decided to cruise on the Seabourn, having only done one other cruise with them. We did back to back cruises, starting in Barcelona and ending in Rome 20 days in all.Embarkation was good. The ship softgoods (interiors of cabins} very very tired. They were in dry dock during Covid, and it would have been a good job to re-do those dark cabins, with lighter fabric. Our penthouse suite was very ...
First time on Seabourn. Previously a Crystal Cruise Cruiser. The ship is smaller in all respects to Crystal and that took some adjusting to. The rooms are spacious, colonnade and Thomas Keller food fantastic and the restaurant while starting off questionable, ended with good food and service. Ship has everything one could want and I enjoyed meeting folks on excursions. Spa services were ...
We were a bit nervous when we learned that our 18 night cruise on the Quest was the first sailing since covid shutdown. However, Seabourn staff did a wonderful job and most things seemed "back to normal". We sailed from Barcelona to Ravenna (a port 2 hour included bus ride from Venice) as large ships can no longer dock in Venice.
There was some pre-cruise confusion on check-in, ship board ...
We arrived at Manchester Airport only to be advised that our flight to Barcelona was delayed by an hour, not a major problem at the start of our holiday.
We got to Barcelona one hour behind schedule, but our Sixt driver was there with name card and we were whisked off to the Colon Hotel for our two day stay prior to our cruise.
The Colon hotel is excellently placed for sightseeing in ...
I chose this cruise for a couple of reasons had a chance to travel with family and the thought of going to Barcelona, Morocco, Canary Islands etc. was a gem in itself. I enjoyed the culture, history and architecture of each country. I took many interesting tours and found each day was more exciting than the first. I loved the idea of Specialty Dinners and dressing up in our wonderful attire. The ...
This was our 4th cruise with Seabourn and we had no regrets! Our cabin was wonderful, the service, the food - exceptional as always . We enjoy having lots of restaurants options, with open seating. Some nights we had the pleasure of joining other folks and other nights having the luxury to eat by ourselves, sometimes even on our lovely balcony.
We usually ended the hard day of sightseeing, ...
This was my fourth Seabourn (SB) cruise, and DH’s second, with one prior on the Quest summer 2016 we both shared. We have done a dozen cruises on luxury lines, so the review below compares this cruise with prior experiences, and provides some guidance for newbies contemplating taking a SB cruise for the first time.
We also did a detailed semi-live blog during the cruise, with photos, on the ...
Our first Seabourn trip and without doubt the best cruise we have ever taken. Many, many positives and few negatives made it a very enjoyable 10 days. We also made friends with lots of fellow travelers and had a number of pleasant evenings in their company.
Embarkation in Barcelona at the World Trade Centre was very smooth and although our boarding time was stated as 2pm we arrived around ...
We went on a Seabourn cruise because we had been on the Seabourn Legend several years ago which we thoroughly enjoyed and were impressed with the accommodation, food and customer service. However, our recent Seabourn cruise on the Sojourn was a huge disappointment for the following reasons
* Smoking allowed on balconies which means that if you don't smoke but your neighbour does then their ...
Oceania lover has fling with Seabourn
Barcelona to Monte Carlo 25-07-2016 to 04-08-2016
Background
This was a special surprise gift for my mothers **th birthday. The last couple of years I have been cruising on Oceania (previous on Celebrity en Star Clippers) but this itinerary looked just perfect with lots of small ports and the price for a V4 Verandah suite was the same as a Penthouse ...
