Wonderful Itinerary & Wonderful Dance Lessons

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

We loved spending a few days prior to the cruise in Barcelona, the city of embarkation. I found it as beautiful and interesting as other major European cities such as London and Paris. The ports of call were great with lots of history and culture to explore. During the Atlantic crossing there were a great variety of activities. I especially appreciate the dance lessons and the great music at ...

It has been awhile since we cruised with Princess and found that standards have dropped considerably! The choice of food is not as good, previously steak was a regular on the menu along with the nightly choices but now it's has been replaced with a burger! On offer for desserts was the alternative of cheese which consisted of dull, flavorless cheese and no biscuits! I had really been looking ...

Having returned 4 days ago from the 15-day Spanish Passage Cruise on Royal Princess, it is now time to write the review. Must preface this by saying I am not one to write detailed reviews of previous cruises, but I feel this cruise needs one. Only married 6 years, my DH & I (in our 70's but young at heart) just discovered cruising in 2012, and have since done 37 days on Princess, 14 days on ...

"Smooth as a pond" transatlantic cruise

We are great Princess Cruises fans, and chose this cruise because we are also fans of transatlantic cruises. This was our big cruise this year, and we loved it. The Royal Princess, a ship we had not previously been on (though we've been on the sister ship, the Regal Princess) was fantastic, and we loved the ambiance, the people, the activities, the entertainment, the food! In short, this cruise ...

To see Barcelona again and to relax on the TA. We miss Skywalkers!!! Exployers, Club Fusion..Club 6 was cold and seating was uncomfortable. The food was not as good as normal. If it was my first cruise with Princess I most likely would not return . In the dining room - our Head Waiter Artur and our waiters Oleg and then Ahmad were excellent. All 3 get perfect 10's. The International Cafe ...

We chose it primarily for the destinations/ 15 in 18 days. All good, some fantastic, like Dubrovnic, Kotor, Montenegro; Barcelona and the fabulous Sagrada Familia and Gibraltar. The Canary Islands on the Transatlantic portion a big bonus. Of the 18 cruises we've taken, when asked the question "if you could only do one", this was it. The ship was an added bonus. We had taken the Royal Princess ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. The entertainment was good. The food was good. The ports were good. Service was good. Nothing was outstanding. Venues for Zumba and some entertainment were inadequate. Up selling is annoying. Perhaps it's a disadvantage of this line compared to all-inclusive lines. You get what you pay for. We have been in Spain many times but Valencia and ...

This was the cherry on top of my retirement. One week in Rome with family and then off on 25 days around the eastern and western Med and an atlantic crossing. It was port intensive from Rome to Barcellona, after Barcellona it got a little easier. The Royal Princess was a great ship for a 25 day cruise. We were in cabin E410 which is a balcony with an obstructive view. Only a small amount of ...

Hubby and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted to do something fun and relaxing. We've done several transatlantic crossings in the past and looked forward to taking another. Our last ta the Canary Islands stop was cancelled so we were excited with this itinerary and two stops there. We've cruised on the Royal several times before so knew the ship and with the exception of ...

Gaining time-a transatlantic from Barcelona

This was the second TA voyage for my DH and me. Unlike the last time, we decided to make sure our long flight to Europe and jet lag would be on the front end of the trip. This worked out much better, although gaining an hour 7 times in one cruise is still a lot of changing. We spent 2 nights pre-cruise at the Hotel Continental Barcelona. We choose this to meet up with many fellow cruisers ...
