"Smooth as a pond" transatlantic cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

We are great Princess Cruises fans, and chose this cruise because we are also fans of transatlantic cruises. This was our big cruise this year, and we loved it. The Royal Princess, a ship we had not previously been on (though we've been on the sister ship, the Regal Princess) was fantastic, and we loved the ambiance, the people, the activities, the entertainment, the food! In short, this cruise ...

We chose it primarily for the destinations/ 15 in 18 days. All good, some fantastic, like Dubrovnic, Kotor, Montenegro; Barcelona and the fabulous Sagrada Familia and Gibraltar. The Canary Islands on the Transatlantic portion a big bonus. Of the 18 cruises we've taken, when asked the question "if you could only do one", this was it. The ship was an added bonus. We had taken the Royal Princess ...

Retirement 2017

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

This was the cherry on top of my retirement. One week in Rome with family and then off on 25 days around the eastern and western Med and an atlantic crossing. It was port intensive from Rome to Barcellona, after Barcellona it got a little easier. The Royal Princess was a great ship for a 25 day cruise. We were in cabin E410 which is a balcony with an obstructive view. Only a small amount of ...

Hubby and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted to do something fun and relaxing. We've done several transatlantic crossings in the past and looked forward to taking another. Our last ta the Canary Islands stop was cancelled so we were excited with this itinerary and two stops there. We've cruised on the Royal several times before so knew the ship and with the exception of ...

Gaining time-a transatlantic from Barcelona

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

This was the second TA voyage for my DH and me. Unlike the last time, we decided to make sure our long flight to Europe and jet lag would be on the front end of the trip. This worked out much better, although gaining an hour 7 times in one cruise is still a lot of changing. We spent 2 nights pre-cruise at the Hotel Continental Barcelona. We choose this to meet up with many fellow cruisers ...

Traveled as a single and loved the Royal Princess

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

Cruising Europe was on my bucket list after 35 plus cruises on 17 different cruise lines to six of the seven continents over the years. Princess had the best itinerary, called the Grand Mediterranean, which was actually two cruises back-to-back for 21 days total. I had cruised Princess before and liked it, but truthfully only chose them due to the itinerary and price. But from now on Princess ...

Our first trip on the Royal, but we cruised three times on the pretty much identical Regal Princess. We did not and do not have a thing to complain about or any regrets about taking this cruise at all!! The ship, and we spent time in 95% of the ships public spaces we always very neat and clean and we always found everything to be in good working order. We booked a deluxe balcony on deck 15, ...

We choose this ship because we were celebrating our anniversary and found it very charming. The service was excellent, the tours were perfect and we really enjoyed the food. We participated in the game shows and really enjoyed that also. I went to the spa and had a excellent message. The shows in the theater were very entertaining as well. The cruise director was great and they had the show ...

The ship is great as my friends told me . They use this company for so many times and always back home with nice memories . I liked it too . Everything was nice without bad surprises . The ship is modern and clean with a lot of nice surprises especially if you did not do your homework before the vacation :) Stuff is professionals and friendly . The food is tasty, large good buffet selection. ...

A Royal European Adventure

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

A Royal European Adventure I was standing in the restaurant of the Hotel Alexandra in Barcelona when the headline of a Spanish Language newspaper caught my eye, “Barcelona’s biggest problem is tourists!!” This became the reoccurring theme of a wonderful European vacation as it could also be said for every place we visited. We, Gene & Susan, had left Houston on a flight to Charlotte NC on ...
