Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

This was our 4th cruise with Princess, but this was the first time where we had difficulty obtaining a seat in the Horizon dining area due to people placeing objects on chairs and tables to reserve seats for others that were not even in the Dining area at all. Walking shore excursions were somewhat rushed although very factual for the time we had. Tenders were great with the exception of one which ...

Good service, food and entertainment but public areas need new upholstery- old, stained and grimy. The excursions were enjoyable except for the “foodie walking tour of Naples”. We paid a lot for tiny portions eaten on our feet. Walk around on your own. Our foodie tour in Rome was much better. Toni Brancatisano did an excellent job of showing us her local places. We chose this particular cruise based on the time of year, and also based on the advertised claim that the Crown Princess (built in 2004-2006) had been 'refurbished' in March of 2018. We found this claim not to be ...

We'd never sailed with Princess before but we chose this cruise because of the itinerary - we started in Barcelona, went to Gibraltar and ended in Rome...the places we wanted to go, with Marseille, Genoa and Livorno thrown in as bonus ports. On the day we embarked, we spent the day sightseeing in Barcelona and arrived at the port at 5pm, to walk thru check-in and we were in our lovely cabin within ...
