The Itinerary and time of year was great. It was a repositioning cruise. Many people on board that do this as they fly in early to enjoy Europe and then get back to the US. The itinerary was nice and interesting. Most disappointing was the food quality and their menus besides had no flavor and was cold, when it was served at the sit down dining. This was new for us as the food quality and ...

How can they have a Mo Town Review with no black performers? They put one man in a black afro... In other performances, wonderfully talented singers and dancers were stuck with mediocre material. The Crown Band was great. The Magic to Do show was fun. We liked Eileen Gray and the 3 Tenors. There was a problem with people saving seats. Princess needed to give out tickets and if people ...

We had cruised with Princess several times before and were very pleased with the ships and cruise line in general. We had a very easy embarkation and the staff made the process very easy. The ship was a little dated in decor although very clean. Our main disappointment was the quality of the food on this trip. We ate in the dining room each night and most of what we encountered was poorly ...

Disappointed

The food leaves much to be desired. The food buffet was horrible. The speciality restaurants and dining room were a notch above the food buffet. The friendliness of staff was non existent. The staff literally herd you on and off the boat like cattle. No smiles, not a please or thank you . Simple manners were non existent even with a lot of the passengers. The rooms and ship were clean. The ...

We have cruised on Cunard, Carnival and Celebrity prior to this cruise. It was a very mixed bag and some things we liked better but on the whole it was not anywhere near as good as Celebrity or Cunard. Pro's The wardrobe space was very good, lots and lots of room for everything and many hangers. The TV was large and great viewing The staff overall were very friendly and helpful, ...

Great destinations but the staff need to get their act together

We chose a Princess cruise because we had taken another Princess cruise previously and loved it. (Pacific Eden) We found that lots of little mistakes add up to some disappointment. I am not going to go into the mistakes but even though not large they are things that should not happen. Staff tend to pass the buck so in the end this looks very unprofessional. Also I think a lot has to do with ...

We were on the 7 day cruise from Barcelona, Spain to Rome Italy. We were traveling with our adult children, ages 20 and 22. It was a beautiful trip. We have never traveled with Princess before. It was very average, nothing over the top. I have definitely been on better cruises. The food was not the best. I have had food on other cruises where I couldn't wait for dinner or wanted all on ...

The Crown Princess is a beautiful ship. The food was excellent, the bed was comfortable and, to the most part, the physical aspects of the cruise ship were fine. The excursions were okay, acceptable but not truly exceptional. The entertainment was average. I didn't go to many shows but members of my party did. They were mostly underwhelmed. What was unacceptable was the extremely poor customer ...

Not as good as Carnival, for a higher price!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

I chose this cruise because of its itinerary. I generally enjoyed the ports, with the exception of Marseilles where I paid $64.95 for a hop-on-hop-off tour that I could have booked directly for about $22.00. When I attempted to go online and provide reviews of my excursions, I found that Princess does not allow guests this option. Why not allow past passengers to provide feedback for the use of ...

The ship is old, the WiFi is terrible, especially for the price and the food was meh. The menu was repetitive. This was my very first cruise and I was quite underwhelmed. We didn’t even get the horn when we pulled out of Barcelona. The stops were absolutely amazing. Which is the point of the cruise I guess. Florenc felt very rushed, and it felt like we were led to shop in the ship ...
