"" She was very dismissive of questions being asked which was disappointing because it was our cruise and we caught COVID on their cruise ship
- food that was delivered to our room as a result of being isolated was often only just warm at best
- the internet that we paid extra for was often not reliable or unavailable
- food in the dining room was a bit repetitive
OVERALL
Generally speaking, we really enjoyed our cruise and would consider another cruise in the future.- the ports of call were a definite attraction
- the friendliness of the staff on board
- the ease on which we embarked onto the boat
- the shore excursions we chose were fantastic (or the ones we did anyway)
- the choice and variety of food on board
- food in the specialty dining room was excellent
Lows
- we contracted COVID (for the first time) on board and consequently isolated for 4/12 days on the cruise meaning we missed 2 of our eagerly anticipated shore excursions
- we were delayed in getting off the boat because the infirmary had not provided a/our release
- the time it took to get a coffee (sometimes up to 30 minutes)
- the friendliness of one of the staff in the infirmary was questionable (eg...."Read More

1-8 of 8 Barcelona to Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Holland America Line Oosterdam Cruise Reviews
We chose this cruise with our friends because the ports of call were pretty close to where we wanted to visit in the Mediterranean. Also the pricing seemed to be pretty competitive.
As with everything when we go on holidays, there are good and bad, pros and cons, highs and lows and this cruise was no exception.
Firstly, the highs ...

Barcelona ~ Trieste (Venice) in September was the perfect time to go.
We arrived in Barcelona stayed a few days before our cruise to check out the sights and gastronomy Barcelona had to offer. It doesn’t disappoint! We stayed up on a hill in a renovated hospital turned 5* La Floridia. It overlooked the sea, had gentle breezes and amazing pool with outdoor patio seating.
But this is not ...
Going to Europe worst experience we ever had cruising will never use this cruise line again. Bought the all inclusive package and that's all they care about. Their tours were a complete joke. You are being hearded into buses like cattle. With people who were obviously sick for hours at a time. We attempted to speak to an officer to voice our complaint and were denied. Everything as far as the ...
Hi,
We enjoyed our cruise very much, at the end of the day after spending 8 hours on
excursions the ship was comfortable and perfect to relax before the next day of tours.
Our Delta flight to Barcelona was perfect we flew on the Airbus A330-300 which I highly recommend. We had two seats next to the window with plenty of room considering we paid no extra for our seats. The plane has two ...
Since our first cruise was over 25 years ago, and we won it in a raffle, so had no part in the where or when, or even how, I consider us to be first time cruisers for all intents and purposes.
We chose Holland America’s 12 night Mediterranean Tapestry on the Oosterdam primarily for the itinerary. It was filled with ports that we had not previously visited, and was at the right time of year for ...
We chose this cruise for two reasons: price and port intinerary. We were not disappointed! We went on a 12 night Mediterranean cruise with only 1 sea day. This was a cruise to be active and see many European cities. Here are some thoughts on the cruise:
-Food was amazing (all of it) I’ve only cruised on Disney before and Holland food is better.
-Stateroom was very nice with a great balcony ...
This cruise review is done by RicksClan 2 but we only have 1 CC account because we have to have different emails. :} RicksClan 1 used to be Pioneer Scion but we just changed it....I am more wordy and write most reviews.
Bucket list:
Barcelona and Rome with a Sept 4, 2016 cruise in the middle.
This was perfect. We saw lots of places that would have been difficult to get to on our own. ...
I and my husband (we 30 and over) took this cruise based on itinerary. It's our fifth cruise so we knew what to expect, we knew how it should be. We booked cruise shuttle from airport to the ship (only one thing which we booked through the cruise, because everything overprice). People in airport was slow and confused, did not know what to do with extra luggage event it was not full bus, but ...
