A good choice for the older guest

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary - Barcelona to Miami in 17 days. This was our first time on Oceania and our second cruise ever. This is considered a smaller ship with only ~600 passengers - we liked the smaller size. This ship was re-done in 2019 so everything was lovely, clean, and fresh and decorated in calming colors. We had great weather most of the trip with only one rain ...

Absolutely incredible!!!! The room size was great as was the size of the bathroom. The Bulgari amenities are a lovely touch. You event have a choice of the scent that is placed in your room. Sirena is a lovely ship and her crew ensured that we had a perfect experience!!! We are so happy with our sailing we have rebooked with Oceania on the Marina for 2019. The ports were wonderful on ...

We chose this cruise because we had been on a very busy cruise on Oceania Riviera Barcelona to Barcelona for ten days then spent 4 days in Barcelona before embarking on the Sirena. We wanted some R&R and also wanted to avoid the jet lag by having gradual time changes. The ship was very clean as was our cabin, always cleaning somewhere on the ship. Our cabin staff were so friendly polite and ...

We were on two back-to-back cruises on the Sirena for a total of six weeks. This is the first time we have been on a ship this small and learned that you have to give to get. On the first leg of our cruise the ship was only 2/3 full, so we were upgraded to a balcony. It was a nice size and the bed and linens were wonderful. I think Oceania has the best beds at sea. The cabin attendants were ...

Great Weather...Bad Beef

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Sirena

I love Oceania Cruises but, not sure I like European beef. We sailed from Barcelona, Spain to Miami, Florida. While the cruise was good...the beef on board was way below standard. Being a meat manager...I believe the beef was either European or US Select grade. This was based on two steak meals in the Tuscan Steakhouse and multiple occasions in the Main Dining Room and the Terrace Café. Service ...

We read so many negative comments on Cruise Critic about the Sirena, we were worried about this experience ! Well, not to worry.... the cruise was wonderful ! Sirena is absolutely beautiful!!! Well appointed in every area! Horizons has been much improved and is lovely, even adding bathrooms! Contrary to many complaints I read, the food is still 5 star! Jacques Bistro at lunch in the GDR ...

Smaller ship for us which we enjoyed, clean, recently refurbished, no loud music, no kids on this cruise, many areas to read and relax, easy access around the ship, no lines, superb food, good selection of wine, smaller cabins and particularly small shower area, plenty of storage. Excellent large library. Good fitness center not busy. Very nice large steam/shower room and the private hot tub, and ...

I chose this ship and this cruise for the following reasons; a) My partner and I are pass cruisers with this line. b) we had completed six weeks in Europe and this was the perfect way to return to US. c) ship newly refurbished. Embarkation for us was early and wonderful. Cabin was ready before expected. Cabin, Category A1 was nothing special. It was clean and well ...

Transatlantic Disappointment

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Sirena

We have sailed Oceania 6 times and this time we were disappointed, not in the amenities or service which was outstanding. We chose a transatlantic crossing thinking there would be movies, lectures on varied topics beside the usual games and such. All we got was 5 days of the same games and the usual banal nonsense. We played bridge but the instructors were not thrilling. The shows are what we ...
