Had to wait in line at the port for Hours they told us to come at 2 the line was 2000 deep by then. to get on the ship. they said it was because of customs, no one from NCL to guild you. got on the ship by 4. food was good the 1 show i saw was the under the big top it was really good. my cabin steward was ok, could not get a iron in the morning had to wait until the evening. cabin was on the 8th floor never again. you had the view of the tenders tops and no roof on the baloney.my balcony door only opened about 1/3 of the way after the 3rd. ( the reason i didn't say something sooner was because they had wood behind the door on the top and the bottom that made me think that was all it opened) day i told my steward and he call someone to come fix it. grand caymans did a catamaran excision it broke down told them about it when we got back ncl never even got back to me. movies under the star there was no popcorn! People behind us talked the whole time i'm glad they were enjoying their selves. cabin steward pulled me aside one night and if we were smoking in the cabin he was going to have to turn us in... it was just our clothes from having to smoke in small confined areas. I was so mad if my husband would have heard that it would have ruden he's trip and he would never cruise again even with a baloney he would never break the rules. on other ship i washed our stuff so it never was a problem ( no self washer on this ship) I lost sleep that night. but when i started think about it i thought maybe he was trying to get a bigger tip so he would not tell! I ask for an ironing board and they said i could have it because i could not have one until the evening. Read Less

Edwiin & Carla Puerto Rico google traductor: In general, the ship is magnificent. But having the HAVEN experience is incalculable. From the moment you go through the customs process, a person waits for you to escort you to check in, welcome you, escort you inside the ship and give you a short tour of the Haven facilities. When you get to the room you have already entered another world. Your own Jacuzzi, large balcony with long chairs for sunbathing. Your bottle of welcome champagne, and bottles of water. In short many details to pamper you. The best thing about this Suite Spa room is the benefit of access to both the haven and the SPA. The room is steps from the SPA area. what makes it even more private. The Thermal Suite is magnificent, from its water jets, bubbling tubes to the sauna and aromatherapy salon. It is an experience that you should enjoy every afternoon when you arrive exhausted from the cities you visit. Regarding the food, it is very good. However, it is worthwhile to enjoy or pay for specialized restaurants. You will have an unforgettable experience, good savor and quality food. Now, the restaurant HAVEN the best thing is that you get away from the chaos of so many people in the rest of the restaurant, there is a lot of tranquility and privacy. The only thing I criticize is that the menu was almost the same every day. That is why we take different alternatives from specialized restaurants and those that are complementary. Also the problem of this restaurant were the strange schedules that they had, we could only have lunch there the day we arrived .. the other day was always closed. It was strange that I never understood those times. Except for the night that returned to open at 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm but I'm wrong. The staff service in the HAVEN area is exceptional, so much so that it can be a bit overwhelming. Constantly your concierge knocks on the door or they call you to find out if you need something special. They make a change of bed and cleaning 2 to 3 times a day. In our case I do not know why we had two concierge and both were exceptional. The only negative thing I can say is that they do not speak Spanish and their English was a bit difficult to understand, because they were Filipinos. It is worth mentioning that the Haven gives you the privilege of ordering room service with a special menu at no charge to the room. Every day they take snacks to the room, to strawberries with chocolate, cheeses, grapes, etc. In each port to visit it is important to get up early and get to the Front Desk of HAVEN. From there they escort you to the exit of the boat with priority, you do not make any kind of row. Like to attend all the shows. Mr. Bruno was too attentive to us, his service and attention was unique. The shows are very good, the circus is also good, but you have to pay extra. Drinks are expensive, but there are wine package options "vivid wine" you buy several bottles of your choice and your taste. The packages start from $ 100.00 approximately for 4 bottles. If you have a package of drinks included you are done. On the other hand, really the ship was very full. What made it uncomfortable to be in common areas, complementary restaurants or in the public pool area. So this is where the HAVEN makes the difference, they are few people and you feel in your own space. Talk about the ports visited - the review would not end. But if I'm sure of something, it's that each city has its charm and they're all impressive. the trip was (Palma Majorca, Rome, Florence, Cannes and Marseille) This is our 3rd cruise with NCL and it was the first time at HAVEN, the best experience we have had. We will continue traveling with NCL and as long as we can we will continue enjoying the experience offered by HAVEN. It is unforgettable, it is to pamper and pamper yourself. If one day this experience can occur, I do not want to have less than that again. And in the end, the best experience that this boat could offer us was to meet 6 families from Spain and Argentina, and share beautiful experiences with them in the excursions and on the boat. This made the trip truly unforgettable. Meeting these people filled us with a lot of emotion. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, Western Mediterranean and because we'd enjoyed a number of previous cruises on NCL. This one was a significant disappointment. We felt that the ship was simply too large to be enjoyed. Elevators are at either end of the ship, with none in the middle, making access to many of the ship's venues and activities inconvenient or just 'not worth the hassle'. We didn't care for having to reserve ahead for entertainment and didn't like that the same entertainment was repeated several times. We didn't like the 'serpentine' configuration of the balcony cabin, which afforded little privacy and no space for guests to co-exist. We found the central area of the ship, including the Atrium to be far too noisy to be enjoyable. We dined once in the Bistro, and were overwhelmed with outside noise, when we had hoped for a quiet and lovely dinner. We also didn't like the overall ambiance of the BIstro - simply a square room with dark draperies on the wall. Our TV did not work properly for the 1st half of our trip. We found it very difficult (long waits in line) to deal with the service desk. Our booking included a beverage package but we found that most drinks, other than beer or house wine exceeded the $10 per drink cost limit. The casino was endless...long walk to pass through this space to reach other areas of the ship. Our dining was done, mostly, in the buffet or garden terrace, which was pleasant and we were pleasantly surprised to find designated seating for handicapped passengers that was close to the buffet. In large part, the crew was pleasant and helpful though, when we found that the ship's internet system was not functioning, we had a very difficult time getting information from the desk as to the status of our account. This resulted in some of our available credit not being used, as we didn't learn of it until our last day on the ship. We took only one excursion through NCL, though we had a $50 credit toward each; we found better prices and greater choice on our own. Lastly, when we left the ship in Barcelona, there was only 1 elevator available in the terminal building (this with 4000 passengers disembarking) and this was not operating. Not a good end to a rather unsatisfactory cruise. We may cruise NCL again, but it will be, as our past cruises have been, on a much smaller ship. Read Less

My husband and I have done Starship Virgo, P&O Pacific Dawn, MSC Preziosa and Fantasia, Celebrity Equinox and we wanted to go back to the Mediterranean on a different cruise line at an affordable price. The Norwegian had a great offer going at the time but it saddens me to know in this case you got what you paid for. When talking over a $1000 AUD each and overseas flights I expect much better for my money, we had gotten on every other cruise. This ship is simply put very ugly and aging. Our balcony cabin had no rooftop and every day we had water pouring down our sliding door because they were cleaning the upstairs balconies and the wash water was coming on our balcony. The design was a step style so our balcony comes out under another balcony. We were rarely able to step out onto our balcony to see the ports we had arrived at. The design of this cabin is so ineffective it should be ripped out and redesigned. The couch faces the robe, the toilet is on one side of the entrance area with a slide door which does not stop any sound and the shower is on the other side with the same door style. The toilet is deafening when flushed, something I have never noticed on other cruises. Hallway and cabin floors seemed to be rock hard from wear and tear. Entertainment was a let down with only two good shows and a decent comedian. Don't order the PERFECT Margarita on the drinks menu as it is far from perfect. The alcohol specialist that chose that drink should be sacked. It is Golden Yellow and nothing like a Margarita. We had to instruct the bar attendant on how to make a good margarita and it's not rocket science!!! When we got back home I wrote to Norwegian and complained about these issues but it fell on deaf ears. Pity because they really need to lift their game. The overall ship was old with almost Gothic design, some areas very dark and dingy. Do yourself a favour and don't bother with this cruiseline unless it has better designed everything!!! Read Less

Great itinerary, bucket list locations. Had the best time and food and entertainment. Great Beatles cover band. Great dueling pianos, found quiet places to hang out, pools were very nice. Water slides were unreal, themed restaurants where great. Large common areas can not say enough about this wonderful boat. A+. A+. Easy boarding. Ultimate drink package was a treat. Specialty meals were a great surprise. Cabin bathroom set-up was a bit funky. Helpful staff. Did "italytour.com" for shore excursions. They were half the cost of ships excursions. 8 passenger mini vans with great English speaking guides. Did 4 excursions, Best of Rome. Best of Florence. Best off Marseille and Provence, Avinon St. Remy. Cannes and Monaco. One city more amazing than the next. I would go back anytime and use them again. Highly recommend them. I have cruised 5 times and by far Norwegian is the best. They will have a longtime customer in me if they keep offering the drink package as part of the deal. Read Less

The Epic is a great ship, the staff was amazing and always so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some great food at the specialty restaurants. Common areas are large enough that you never felt crowded. We were not impressed with the entertainment options. We knew going in that we were not interested in the Priscilla musical and we've seen enough of the Cirque shows, but we expected that we would be able to find other entertainment. We were dissappointed that there were no comedians, just some not so great singers. It would have been nice to have some other options. We had massages in the spa that were just so-so. The masseuses were OK, a little too eager to sell products. When you tell them you are not interested they are quick to get you out. Probably would not choose the Ultimate Beverage Package again. Drinks seemed really watered down and pretty tastless. Read Less

This was our first European Cruise but our 10th Norwegian cruise and our 4th suite stay. Epic Haven area needs some attention our cabin had missing wood molding the drawers in the bathroom were broken. The 2nd shower door was broken and my husband fixed it after asking steward for assistance. I know people are gonna read this and say something but as much as you pay for a two bedroom haven cabin, you expect 5 star accommodations. We did an Norwegian excursion in Rome wish it was okay, the thing about cruise line excursions is hurry up and wait and 8 hour excursion really only took 4 hours. We took the one called Taste of Rome, we visited popes summer home in the country side and visited a restaurant where we watched an lady make homemade pasta and they fed us lunch. Then we went to Rome but it was just an overview which means drive by certain buildings. I really wanted to see the Vatican but had no idea it would be up close not 1/2 block away. The food was good in all the restaurants. I would also recommend to book Cirque Dreams Epicurean it's dinner and a show and it was very very good. My daughter and I enjoyed Paint by U activity we did the 1st day at sea. Overall it was a wonderful cruise and a shout out to our wonderful Butler Maria she was the best. Read Less

after having engine failure on the star in december we booked this one as a replacement for our anniversary, birthdays and retirement for my husband cruise. what a fantastic ship the entertainment was brilliant the staff are all friendly and helpful. The food is varied and good. We did a behind the scenes tour which doesn't sound that interesting but it gives you and understanding of the food requirements for such a large ship with the different provision areas and freezers, refrigerators on board. the laundry was a massive experience the automatic ironing and folding machine for the bed sheets is fantastic and when we met the chefs making bread what a glorious aroma. The tours were well varied and well organised so you could do your own thing or book an organised tour. the only downside as pointed out previously is the lack of elevators and escalators on the ship. When the ship is in port 1 elevators is blocked off for disabled which limits the amount for able bodied to use when getting off ship or going to dine and the difference once everyone is off is unbelievable - so quick. First time cruise for our 25th anniversary and we chose the Epic after researching a few different ships. This one had a 2 night stay in the Montblanc hotel in Barcelona. Booking in - This took about 45 min from arrival at the cruise port. Remember your Credit card (a debit card comes with a £300 deposit). You will be issued with your cruise card here which is used for drinks, entertainment, bookings and any purchases. Stateroom - We had an inside stateroom. They are not big but well designed and come with plenty of storage. Shower gel and shampoo supplied. The bed was large and comfy and we really had no complaints with the room. The website explains the size so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Food - We ate mostly in the huge Garden Bar buffet restaurant on the top deck. It catered for every taste, food was plentiful and fresh. It has some great views over the front of the ship and was nice eating there when the ship was leaving port. There are plenty of other restaurants on the ship, We also recommend the TASTE one. It has table service and a great menu to choose from. Sheehans bar was also well used for lunch time snacks from their grill. Entertainment - This was outstanding. A wide range of acts to suit all tastes. We managed to see most of them during our weeks stay. I recommend Burn the Floor, Graffiti Artists and The Epic Beatles. Howl at the Moon was good however its 4 hours and got a bit monotinous after a while, the Italian signer let them down a bit as well but they are still worth a visit. Drink - We had the ultimate beverage package. The choice of drinks were excellent and top quality. All cocktails were freshly made and well presented. My only complaint were the number of bar staff at the busy bars. Sheehans sometimes had only 2 barpersons and when they're making cocktails it slows things down. All bars have waiter service which is a quicker was of getting served. Pool area - Deck 15 is where the pools and slides are. This was a huge are with 3 small pools, 8 hot tubs, 2 slides and a whirlpool. Even when this was busy there were always sunbeds available and we enjoyed a couple of days up there.Large bar and plenty of food available also. Ports - Didn't enjoy Naples as its a bit of a dump. There's almost to much to do in Rome to do it properly in the time you have. Its also a 2 hour trip from the boat if doing it yourself. Cannes was stunning and well worth the trip. Remember to book your tender early also try the train tour situated at the port. Staff - cant fault the staff at all. Always smiling and helpful. They clearly work hard and long shifts. Downsides - Even with all the drink available you still have to buy a decent coffee (the machine coffee at each bar is awful) this should be included in your package. The bars need more staff especially at busy times. The excursions are way over priced, its worth booking these yourself through Cruise excursions.WiFi is non existent unless you are willing to pay 29 dollars per day for it, even the Iconcierge wasn't working for a number of passengers. Be prepared to leave the ship at about 0630 on your leaving day. Tips - if any of the shows show that they are fully booked its worth turning up for the standby, we never attended 1 show which was totally full. Catch up with WiFi at a cafe in each port. Overall it was a great ship, huge, we would def go back again. Read Less

The perks seemed very good and the itinery was what we were looking for. We found that paying for almost every quite different to what we got on other cruise lines. The cruise staff were very nice and the ship was well keep. The booking to see shows was very bad as every time we wanted to see a free show it was full. The deal or no deal was very bad they charged 25 dollars per card and paid out very little.we watched it three times and only seven people made any money. The chance winning anything in ones not chosen was out of this world. A lot of the shows were in Spanish which I do not speak so we could not see them. It would have been much better to show them twice a night and show one in English and one in Spanish. The ultimate drinks package which we had did not include specialty coffee or orange juice. They were included on the other cruise lines we have used. The charging for shuttle to get the center of towns should have been included in the price of the cruise. The charge of 15 dollars each to go 3 miles really upset a lot of people including ourselves. On other cruise lines these are free. We feel that the nickel and dime aspect of the cruise left us feeling a little sad. Read Less

Chose the cruise due to good timing round the Easter. I have done 2 cruises on Epic before. I only had dinners in Specialty restaurants - which were mainly positive experiences - there was some service slowness issues on Wasabi and food quality issue on Cagney's but mostly was happy with the food. Breakfast and lunch experience I have from Taste and buffet and both met expectations. Worst experience was in Sheehan's were service was bad 2 times of 3 - and also other cruisers gave similar comments about Sheehan's. Bar service worked well in all bars. The entertainment met the expectations and shows and performers were really good. Activities and parties done by cruise manager staff were adequate and quite lame. Spa and gym experience was the best on the ship and really enjoyed it a lot. The absolute worst thing on the cruise was still the really bad internet connection quality and slowness of it. Read Less

While I will sail on Norwegian again, it will not be on the Epic. The first leg of the trip, there were 3 of us in a mini-suite with plenty of room and enough storage. The second leg, we were joined by another friend and were moved to a "family" balcony which would sleep 4. This was smaller and had limited storage. The fourth bed dropped down from the ceiling and it was difficult to get to the closets/storage when it was down. My main complaint was the layout of the ship. There were only 2 elevator stacks, and the aft elevator did not stop at deck 5. Rather, you had to get off on six and walk through the casino to an escalator to the 5th floor. The smoke was terrible in the casino and all of us developed sinus problems from the exposure to the second hand smoke. Also, the smell of smoke was strong even when in port and the casino closed. As many of the venues we wished to spend time in were on floor 5 and 6, it was impossible to avoid the smoke. The staff was very amenable and helpful, but appeared to be overworked. Many activities were held in venues which were too small for the number of participants. I feel these could have been moved to other areas which were larger. Basically, on a trip where people could not always be on deck, the ship's public areas were way too small for the number of passengers. Read Less

Please see my review of The Epic Apr 1 to 14 which immediately preceded this cruise. This was my B2B from The Crossing I just did from Port Canaveral to Barcelona and I just stayed on the ship and in the same cabin (which I highly recommend) If you do a B2B always stay in the same cabin if you can, it makes it so very nice. Nothing more to tell since my other review that I just wrote. I elected to just stay on the ship as I had been here before and I was coming back. When you do a B2B in the same cabin, for you, its just another port day, No packing, no drill, no checking-in again or anything....was not required to disembark like you have to do in US Ports and clear customs. Smooth as silk. Morocco was interesting and The Canary Islands (crossing off my bucket list) were FANTASTIC in every sense. Only problem with this cruise was the weather as we had to skip Malaga which was a shame as I was really looking forward to returning. Read Less

We went on the cruise from 14 April to 23 April (9 days) around to the Canaries, stopping off at Tangiers, Grand Canary, Lanzarote, and Malaga. This was not our first cruise using Norwegian and we have cruised on several different ships belonging to different companies before. There were six in our party, three married couples. The ship is amazing, huge, taking nearly 4,000 passengers. There are plenty of facilities on board and very good entertainers and very good restaurants. However the swimming pools are disappointing for adults as there is only a small plunge pool in the adult only area and two small pools for everyone to use that are only about four feet deep so not suitable for swimming. There is a very good water slide complex which is used widely by mainly children but some adults were brave enough to try it. Another downside of a big ship is that there are so many people sitting around the pool area and quite a lot of people put towels on their sun beds and walk off so there are very few places to sit around the pool. Of course there is a quiet area but that is on a higher deck without any access to the bar or other facilities. The whole ship is made up of bars and restaurants with only a few sitting areas separate from the bars. The entertainment is in the atrium, such as competitions and demonstrations with only a small sitting area unless you looked over the balcony from the upper floor (bar area). Our biggest gripe about this ship is the staterooms. We all had a stateroom with a balcony. There is a very odd arrangement with the toilet and bathroom being separate with a glass surrounding so although it is opaque, you have very little privacy as you can see the shape through the glass door which is a sliding door. The hand washbasin is in the room and is very small; there is no hand wash basin in the toilet. Some of the staterooms have the bed near balcony doors, making it difficult for you to exit the balcony doors without negotiating the bed while others had the bed right next to the toilet only separated by a sliding curtain near the main entrance door. The cabins are so narrow that there is only an 18inch walking area between the bed and the wardrobes or sink area therefor you cannot pass each other without moving to one end of the room. The beds are comfortable but curved to fit the room and the space. We had a double bed which was 6 foot in the middle, with the curved areas on the edge of the bed being only 5foot, so we had our feet hanging out of the bed all night! One of our passengers was 6’4” so found the bed very uncomfortable. There are lifts only at each end of the ship, but on the plan of the ship it shows a lift in the middle but this is for crew use only. Read Less

From embarkation to disembarkation, it was a wonderful cruise. My advice: do some research beforehand so that you can set your expectations accordingly, and so details like the bathroom setup and show reservations will not come as bad surprises during the cruise. Dining: Exceptional variety of food in the buffet. Everyday there was a special in the Garden Cafe (seafood night, asian, bavarian lunch, etc.) Food was excellent in all venues. We ate at Taste, Manhattan, Moderno, Cagney's, O'Sheehan's, Teppanyaki. Service was quick and efficient. Service: Service in O'Sheehan's needs some improvement, but it was still adequate. Other than that we encountered amazing staff all around the ship. Our stateroom attendant took the time to learn our names and greeted us by name everytime we would see him. Great crew! Entertainement: EXCEPTIONAL! The best we have seen on a cruise ship by far. Priscilla, Burn the Floor, Cirque Dreams, not to be missed! Ship: Numerous activities, everyday, for everyone. The waterpark is impressive. We enjoyed it a lot as there was almost no one waiting in line for any of the three waterslides, even on sea days. We sailed at full capacity, but it never felt crowded and elevators were available pretty quickly, except on embarkation and disembarkation day, as it is the case on any cruise ship. We never waited to be seated in restaurants and there is a lot of seating available in the buffet, both inside and outside, so no problem there. The casino area on deck 6 was not an issue for us. The air circulation was good, smoke smell was minimal. Itinerary: Wonderful ports of call. Tangier, Las Palmas and Lanzarote were all unique and we enjoyed the three of them. We missed Malaga due to bad weather. Overall: It was our first experience on a megaship and I can say we will continue to sail on larger ships, because of the variety and number of venues and activities. Food was excellent, as well as service all around the ship. We will be back on Norwegian Epic! Read Less

Cruised last year on NCL and enjoyed it immensely Not so this year The Good Entertainment, fabulous. Room steward Roger fabulous Check in faultless Posh Beach Club great and well worth the extra Food in all restaurants gorgeous. The Bad This ship, the crew and the overall ambience leaves a lot to be desired. There simply isn't enough crew, the wait time at bars means sometimes you just give up Staff for the most part are less than bothered about customer service The only place anything happens is opposite guest relations in a strange area a little like a bingo hall We did our own thing in the ports no excursions via NCL Teen club ok a HUGE PARTY travelling together had been allowed to reserve 30 seats every evening in every restaurant so they could choose where to dine on the day, meaning for the most part you could not reserve Will I cruise NcL again, not a chance Read Less

We travelled from New Zealand and took a twenty two day trip aboard the Epic from 6 March 2016 We stayed in the studio cabins which were well appointed, had enough room for one person, with the added bonuses being the studio lounge, nightly dinners with some of our fellow studio cabin passengers , making new friends, the free drinks at dinner and of course our ships host at dinner and throughout the trip We found the food to be very good on the majority of occasions although more variety at breakfast would be great Shows we went to a number and found all of them to be very professional A big rap must go to the band the Starlight’s from Romania four quality professionals who put their heart and soul into every song, we went to their performances on many occasions We found that although the Epic had a large number of people on it we could still do our own thing and find quite areas on the ship The ships theatres and dinner rooms are to small for the number of people she carries The casino was very large and never fully used it could be utilized in a better way Bars A large number of European passengers had drinks included in their fares we were never offered it along with a number of other passengers which really made a good number of passengers very unhappy. Liquor prices were way over the top resulting in passengers drinking on shore and in some cases bringing their beers back onto the ship $9 US for a tap beer way over the top The service in the bars was average along the staffs attitudes Liquor prices need to be looked at and reduced. Overall a great trip Read Less

The ship was fine but the large number of people and lack of any sort of organization at disembarkation caused massive headaches at two stops and on final day 1.5 to two hours to get off the ship on all three occasions Also another 1.5 hours to clear UK official on the ship. All could have been avoided with better control and organization. Also found all the common areas where crowded in the evenings and the Theatre was two small for the number of people so you had to book days in advance to get to see a show. H20 the bar and pool area at the back of the ship was very nice but understaffed, my estimate was about 150 or so people back there one day with one waiter. So everyone went to the bar that only had two bartender so it was three deep at times to get a drink. Now there was some positive things about the cruise the food was great but again on some nights there didn;t seem to be enough wait staff to handle the number of people. The staff were very friendly and were trying very hard just weren't enough of them at times for the number of passengers. All in all I would not recommend this ship I have sailed with NCL on many occasion and will stick to their smaller ships in future. Read Less

Our family boarded the ship in Barcelona. Beautiful ship, but very disappointed with service of some of the restaurant staff. The day we were at sea, we went to the pool to find no where to sit down at 11:30 am. There were towels left on several chairs but no one there. I just ended up sitting on the side of the pool. You have to have your room card to enter in the light switch so you could have lights in your room. We were double charged twice for purchases we made. One was unlimited data plan for $175.00. Had to ask wait or for refills on drinks. Mgr in Garden Cafe did not stop to speak with my husband when he asked her a question about where a certain item was. He followed her around. Very disappointed as we spent over $ 8k on 2 rooms. We rate this cruise 3rd out of the 4 cruises we have been on. Disney ranks #1. Read Less

we are a group of 20 going on this cruise for a wedding wow renewal event. The ship looks promising as it is big and the entertainment look good but this it the extent of good. I don't have all day to write about the negative experiences so here we go: if you want to get on and off the boat, be patient! it is not so much the number of guests or the number of gangways opened, it is their utter lack of organization and planning. RC Oasis is big but there is such problem to get on and off. For example at Cannes, we lined up for 20 mins on the forward and when it was our turn, someone showed up to take us to the aft, imagine a group of 40 -50 people running around the ship from one end to another end, and you thought you were 'free style cruising', it was maddening, i felt like a refugee getting off the boat. And forget about elevators , no way you can squeeze in, so use the stairs but wait, the stairs do not lead to all floors in a logical manner because NCL needs to put a huge casino, to make $ and as much as they can, in the middle of the ship. And you need to pass through the casino to go to the restaurants!! Another unheard or seen of deficiency for a ship this size is the lack of a grand lobby with staircase. can you imagine a group of 20 taking pictures and having to find a side staircase with other cruisers walking by and showing up in our group picture? it happened to us multiple times. and what is odd is that the photographers would rudely tell you not to take your own pictures of the group - i have been on 10 plus cruises and the photographers in all others would offer to help but not this Epic, again money grabbing culture. The only good thing i can say about this ship is the cabin crew - efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. one of them found bed bugs in our big kids' room and reported to the ship. I was grateful to her! they dealt with it swiftly and changed our kids' room, if not because of this, NCL Epic will get no star from me. Read Less
