We just completed a cruise from Barcelona to London on the Epic. It was the worst cruise I have ever been on. The ship was going in to be refurbished after this cruise and many of the crew were going on vacation so they did not care about the service to the guests. Was really looking forward to my first ever Cruise. Embarked the NCL Epic at Barcelona. Within the first hour of going on board, I experienced 3 separate incidents of totally rudeness and unhelpfulness. shows you had to book in advance, not told about this, so stood in stand by line as we were told there were no seats left, the epic theater was only 2/3 full, the same for the headliners. the seats in the headliners were not very comfortable. trhe theater seem to close completely half way thru the cruise. the shows were good. This was our first cruise experience, and it was abysmal. It started with long queues to get on board staff were unhelpful and the card I was issued wouldn't work within five minutes of issue leading to my boarding being delayed yet again and being grunted at by security and forcing me to queue yet again, this time at customer services to repeat the issue process. This was our third cruise and having done Thomson and Carnival cruises we were recommended Norwegion Cruise Liners by travel agents. We did two back to back cruises with NCL EPIC starting at Barcelona doing 7 days to Italy, Cannes, Palma De Mallorca and back to Barcelona (staying on board), then 6 days to Cartagena, Malaga, Lisbon and sailing back to Southampton.
