Never again

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on MSC Poesia

Incredibly disillusioned

We chose this world cruise excited to visit some of our bucket list destinations. While visiting Egypt became impossible due to conflict in the region we were still thrilled we would be going to Rhodes. But not to be. More than half the cruise has been made up of sea days with substandard destinations. Food has bern appalling with regular absence of fresh fruit, salad and now no coffee available ...

Worst Cruise Ever

I have cruised on various cruise lines so far including NCL, Celebrity, Carnival etc. This has been the worst from all aspects, except the staff. The food had literally no Vegetarian options. The shows were substandard. No coffee creamer’s. The quality of soap below par. Not even warm milk for coffee the first 2 days. I would not recommend this cruise line by any means. Please save your money and ...

While the ship offered a wonderful itinerary overall the cruise itself was just ok. 14 days out of Barcelona hitting 10 counties was a wonderful draw for us. Boarding was seamless and quick and we basically were able to walk right on and directly to our room. Food was just ok, nothing to rave about but you didn't go hungry. Entertainment was below average, I have seen better at a high school ...

Awesome itinerary for a quite reasonable price

We did a 119 night World Cruise, don't know why the menu here in CC says its only 50 nights. MSC delivers a lot of bang for your buck, though not everything was perfect. But the itinerary and the dining were awesome, although strangely the famous Kaito-sushi restaurant was closed during the whole trip. The staff was excellent, I wish shore hotels would have staff as nice and attentive. The ...

Worst cruise ever!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

We chose this cruise because we were told that the cruise was the same as all of the carnival cruises we have taken. They were not even close! My husband and I actually lost weight on this cruise because as it turns out the dairy products on the cruise are UHT (dairy) not pasteurized and as it turns out we had to have salads for most of our meals as it was the only thing I was not allergic to. ...

Compulsory gratuity payment of €120 per person ruined this cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

Firstly, I was amazed that €120 each person was a compulsory gratuity payment and €240 was taken from my account for my husband and I. We were told that nothing could be done about this and that we would not be able to leave the ship unless this was paid and the form signed to say it was ok. This totally ruined our cruise. We always opt out of tips and reward staff for their excellent service ...

Whilst the ship was very clean and nice cabins, other aspects destroyed our experience. The restaurant was appalling on all visits over the 11 days. As eating is a big part of cruising, it ruined our cruise. The restaurant management were unhelpful and we walked out 3 times as totally disappointed. Never again will I board a MSC cruise ship. The music noise on the open decks were too much so could ...

Poor quality and preparation of foods; balcony was not cleaned

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Poesia

We chose this cruise due interesting itinerary, but foods, wines, front recepcion atention, were very low quality and manufacturing. For example, we complain about the wines, as others passangers did. About the food, poor quality of meat, fish, and others. A dish of lamb, were 8 small pieces sizes 1 cm x 1cm, 4 of them inedible. A course of " "cocido a española", was a stew , a steak was a ...

Excellent value, high standards, few niggles.

The sheer hard work, friendliness and professionalism of the on board staff would be hard to better. The food is of a high standard, abundant and beautifully presented. Our cabin was superb, well attended, comfortable and clean as a new pin. Everywhere there was someone cleaning something, or painting it or renewing it! One or two minor niggles. The onboard signing could be better. It's a huge ...
