We live in Spain and prefer to cruise from Barcelona. We had a thoroughly enjoyable cruise, despite the 3 hour embarkation process caused by the COVID 19 testing requirements. This was our first time with MSC, and having read lots of negative reviews about the dining experience, we were a little concerned about what to expect. We can now report that we could not fault the food. We mostly dined ...
Got on in Barcelona it was raining embarkation was pretty easy room was great had a balcony we were on level 12 right in the middle we didn't know what to expect as first timers but we had a great time met some really nice people we took the drinks package through our booking agents and it paid off as drinks averaged 5/6 euros each food was good shows were fine and weather was great ship was huge ...
This was a cruise with friends and I really enjoyed myself. The cabin was roomy and clean. All the staff were great and helpful. It caters more to Italians than North Americas and British Ship left and arrived at all ports on time. Didn't pay for any excursions as it was simple to do it yourself.
Genova, bus outside 10 euros were tour and hop on and off.
Rome bus to train station 2 ...
After reading reviews before we left I was unsure what to expect as some were very negative about the food, entertainment and the overall experience. We travelled as a family in January 2017 and found the following:
The ship was exceptionally clean.
Yes sometimes some food could have been warmer but overall the food was delicious, the right temperature and well presented.
The staff are ...
This was our first cruise and we were certainly not disappointed. The ship was fantastic and all the staff were always smiling. Food was very good, all though I was surprised that they could not make a real caparchio.
We had a balcony cabin. Lots of space, real nice bed and I loved the balcony.
Bars and restaurants are luxurious and the staff were fast to take orders and serve. ...
best about this cruise was the drinks package, fine dinning in the villa verde, I thought i was at an audition of Oliver ? please sir give me more, you could fit the 3 courses on a single plate, people would go up to the buffet after fine dinning as they were still hungry. best time to eat at the buffet was between 6-7 pm after this time less and less selection was available food here was fine. As ...
Having read many of the reviews, embarked on the cruise with some trepidation.
We had the most wonderful experience, it is difficult to find fault.
Food was outstanding, we had room service for breakfast and ate lunch in the Villa Verde Restaurant (Waiter Service), and in the evening we had any time dining, we ate in the Main restaurant, normally about 8.30pm, we had two wonderful waiters. A ...
We did the Western Med cruise from Barcelona in April 2015 , the check in was so smooth, no hassles, no waiting, all excusions i had pre booked was 100% accurate as well as drinks vouchers. The service on the ship, Splendida, was fantastic and our Cabin Assistant was super fiendly and efficient. All excursions were well organised no q's and disembarking and re embarking was very simple. All the ...
Our first European visit and our second MSC cruise. An absolutely wonderful experience bordering on decadence treatment. The entire process from embarkation to disembarkation was handled superbly. This despite the tragic events the week before in Tunisia, the ship crew simply handled the change in their stride and as a result the detour to Malta proved to be an exhilarating experience and so worth ...
We booked a Yacht Club room for our first Mediterranean cruise. As background, we had previously sailed in the Yacht Club on the MSC Divina from Miami. We liked that cruise, and booked the Splendida for this cruise.
We traveled overnight from Chicago to Barcelona arriving on March 13th. Our flight was ahead of schedule and we arrived at the port by 9:30 a.m. There was no place to check-in at ...
