MSC Fantasia Review… A huge disconnect
"I don’t see us booking any more itineraries on this ship, but because the food and the entertainment is so good, we would consider booking MSC again in the future as long as it was on a longer itinerary (to eliminate the large groups of people travelling together), and on a ship that enforced a no-smoking policy.OUR OBSERVATIONS OF THE MSC FANTASIA Overall, there were a handful of good moments and then the rest of the time was pretty uneventful and frustrating...."Read More

Avoid MSC

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

We (family of 3 adults) just disembarked from our MSC Fantasia cruise (a mediterranean cruise); it was our first time with this company. For more than 20 years, we have done several cruises throughout South and North America, as well as Mediterranean cruises. We have used different companies and ships, but none of them were so consistent in bringing 100% negative elements to the cruises’ ...

MSC Fantasia Review… A huge disconnect

We sold our house in Canada so that we could travel the world by cruise ships. Our intention is that we could see the world, and report to our followers about the great itineraries, and different ships that are available to travel the world. This blog is about the MSC Fantasia. We boarded it in mid October, 2023 in Barcelona. We will briefly cover what we loved, and what we didn’t love, and ...

Fantastic Fantasia

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

We have had a fantastic cruise aboard MSC Fantasia. Everything was perfect. A beautiful ship as always with MSC. Really outstanding service from the crew. There were few guests aboard and the crew made up, by going the extra mile to make us all laugh and feel welcome and entertained. One person in particular impressed me, this is a young man on his first contract and 23 years old called Adi ...

Amazing Yacht Club Experience

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

Sailed with a friend on this winter sailing round the Med from Barcelona, and can't recommend MSC Yacht Club experience enough. From the moment you arrive and make your self know to any of the butlers, you will have the most beautiful time, MSC beat any other cruise line, hands down with the attention to detail and service for YC guests. We booked a YC Grand Suite, which was originally just ...

Chaotic but enjoyable

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Fantasia

I don't normally post reviews but in the case of MSC I found other people's opinions useful so thought I'd add my brief thoughts on MSC Fantasia. We booked mainly because of an attractive itinerary that included a land tour to Machu Picchu with a price that was too good to miss. We joined at Barcelona with the itinerary including Malaga, Madeira, Tenerife, San Salvador de Bahia, Ilehus, Ilha ...

Disappointing

Veteran cruiser this was our 5th with MSC. Sadly they seem to be going backwards with Entertainment, food and service. I gave this review 2 stars, out of the dozen or so cruises I have taken this was by far the least enjoyable. This is the reason for each star I knocked off. 1. Lets start with entertainment. It was bad, the shows they put on were cheap and the crew performing were poor. ...

MSC is the worst

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

We have cruised about 15 times prior to this cruise so we knew what to expect. Our embarkation went smoothly in Barcelona, but no amount of prior cruising knowledge could prepare you for this cruise. Our room was probably the best part of our cruise. We paid for an inside room and received a balcony. The beds were clean and the bathroom was adequate. There was gum all along the cupboard and the ...

Poor organization

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

The employees are overworked, they all seem very tired. The services are overall very good, but they clearly have to hire more resources, everyone was looking exhausted during the entire cruise. The cabins look pretty good, the only thing that I didn't like was the fact the the most of the tv shows were in Italian. The ship is a little crowded. Other ships with the same size have half of th ...

Yacht Club - Our first MSC cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

MSC Yacht Club - Fantasia This review is for YACHT CLUB on the FANTASIA. Different ships and a different “experience” (that is how MSC refers to their different levels of service) may be quite different. Keep in mind our only previous cruising experience has been Concierge Class on the Celebrity Silhouette. Overall: MSC touts Yacht Club as a ship within a ship, and it certainly is that. ...
