A great cruise to some superb Ports.
"Casablanca & Rabat was a full 11 hour day which included an excellent lunch at the Movenpick in Casablanca, it was about £110 but was a great day with an excellent guide and was worth the cost, some guests had taken the MSC shuttle bus tour which cost €30 but took them to the Mosque after it was closed and basically drove around Casablanca with no commentary, so this is one to avoid.Aix-en-Provence was an easy 30 minute drive from Marseilles but was disappointing, just another busy town, albeit a pretty one, perhaps we had been spolit by Casablanca and Funchal?..."Read More

This was our 7th cruise with MSC but the first on the Magnifica, which we choose because of the great itinerary to Casablanca, Santa Cruz, Madeira, Malaga, Marseilles and Genoa and the ability to spend 3 nights before the cruise in Barcelona a city we had not visited, but thoroughly enjoyed, a great start to the holiday. Embarkation in Barcelona was swift, seemingly only 400+ passengers were ...

worst cruise we've ever been on

booked this cruise as a present for my parents, as they've never cruised before. We had to take a pcr test 2 days beforehand, at a cost of £200...only to have to take a lateral flow test as well before boarding...ship was clean and staff were very nice and attentive. The food was really not what you would expect on a cruise ship, very "school canteen" in the buffet restaurant, and the Main ...

It was the first world cruise for msc. we had done two other world cruises with holland america and costa cruise. When we compered the msc cruise with the other two was very poor in several areas. Cost: we paid a lot more money for this cruise so we espected more. The cabin with balcony 9080 was very small and impossible to organize clothing and shoes. Food: the food in the buffet was ...

Yes really enjoyed the cruise however the entertainment is poor with not much variety and only the evening shows only lasts on average 35/45 minutes. No entertainment program in any of the bars in the day or very little. On average we enjoyed the food, the cabins and service BUT the one thing that annoyed us was when I queried about the €10 a day service charge was told it didn’t matter ...

This was the first time we sailed on the MSC line. We were pleasantly surprised as we had heard many negative reviews from Americans but the ship and this journey exceeded our expectations. The itinerary was what we were looking for and stops we had not been to before including Malta, Greece and Genoa . The ports were great each one had its own beauty and history. The only port that was a ...

Reunion cruise spoilt by bad food.

We chose this cruise as a reunion of 3 couples after a fabulous Grand Voyage Cruise last year. After a delay in boarding due to the late arrival of the ship caused by fog we went to the buffet as we were all starving by this time. We gave them the benefit of the doubt re the quality and choice of food on the first day. Dinner in the restaurant that evening was not at all good. The bad food and ...

First and last cruise

I had been critical of the potential of a cruise, so to be fair I decided, with my wife, to prove my point that a cruise was just an opportunity to do what you do at home (eat, drink, read), except pay for the privilege. We were fortunate to find a special for 8 nights, so took it up, as it visited 2 places we had wanted to go - Lisbon and Casablanca. As an overall rating I would say the ...

A terrible experience

With the recent GroupOn 'offers' I felt I needed to submit my review to warn others, so they don't have a disappointing week like we - and seemingly most reviewers - experienced. Firstly, I feel it best to point out that the 'offer' isn't an offer. It is, at best, a very small saving on the actual price - with the guide price being heavily inflated. Having previously been on 8 cruises, 6 of ...
