My sister celebrated her 71st Birthday on the ship - the cabin team helped make her day extremely memorable! We were all "over the moon" surprised! Never been on a Cruise line that went to this extent before!!! Well done Oceania!

A good cruise, but nor without some flaws
"It was too late to rebook with Oceania and because of port security in an industrial port, we could only go back to the ship where we booked the Jerusalem trip for the next day from the port of Haifa. We saw some different things this time with an excellent guide and afterward had a nice lunch and got introduced to some surprisingly good Maltese wine...."Read More

Already booked another cruise on the Marina!

We have cruised many times on all the mainstream lines, but this was our first time on Oceania. We loved it and have already booked another one. The Marina is a beautiful ship. The sculptures, the art work, the furnishings are all interesting and tastefully done. Our fellow passengers were a fine group of people, well travelled but not snooty. We loved that there were few announcements and no ...

We chose this cruise mainly for the itinerary (we hadn't been to Morocco), which was cancelled before we left and replaced with Palma de Majorca (our 5th time there). We watched quite a few U-Tubes that seemed to indicate that Oceania was comparable to Viking (which is our favorite ocean line). Viking has one infuriating Con, which is, they demand FULL payment for a cruise one year to two ...

Our first cruise since 2012. Everything on Marina lived up to what we remember in terms of great and attentive service. there are always a few crew members who show indifference but the vast majority were wonderful. The measure of service is whether the service during the last 36 hours of a cruise was a good as the first 36. Oceania pretty much nailed it. The Spanish Market dinners in the ...

Decided to do a special Mother/Daughter trip and my mother requested an Oceania Cruise since she has sailed with them before. She raved about their food and we both love food so we decided on a Mediterranean cruise since I had never been to that area before. Embarkation: I would never use Oceania Air again unless they changed their process. Getting to the ship and back home were both ...

We chose this trip mainly for the Israel focus and spent three days there. The excursions are always expensive and in Israel the guides were useless, which was frustrating. Also there were no port talks; odd; though most people now have to book before they get on board. Booking was sometimes complicated pre-cruise. The ship is a size we like 1200 pax and it has all the usual stuff. We like ...

We picked the cruise for the itinerary. We were able to get Greece, Israel, and Turkey on one trip with the bonus of starting in Barcelona. We were originally booked into standard balcony class on deck eight. We were offered a modestly priced upgrade to concierge class on deck ten and decided to try it. We spent three days in Barcelona (our second time there). The highlight was a food and wine ...

I choose this cruise because it itinerary was Barcelona to Venice and Oceania reputation. Oceania knew the ship would not port in Venice as advertised but waited to inform passengers just a few weeks before sailing. The April itinerary had already been changed. Venice excursion information was delayed until after the deadline to cancel. My Oceania rep assured me there would be several ...

This is our second cruise with Oceania on the Marina this year, but unfortunately we won't be actively checking out Oceania cruises for our next trips - we really wanted to like them! The ship is nice, a good size, public areas and spaces are very well appointed and maintained. They also have some nice itineraries, and being a smaller/mid-sized ship can get into most places We travelled as ...

Great Itinerary; Disappointing Experience

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

We are well traveled and go to Europe quite often and have traveled to Asia. We chose this trip because of the great itinerary. From Barcelona to Rome the only disappointing stop for us was Corsica. The basics: We were on the Marina in Room 9103. We liked our room but felt that it wasn't worth the money to pay for "concierge" level. The included free laundry service was nice, though. ...

Oceania only Average in our Opinion Which Disappointed us

We are a “retired” couple in our late 60s (most passengers were in their 60s/70s) with more than 30 cruises with different lines (Windstar, Azamara, Celebrity, Princess, Star Clippers, Norwegian, and a couple more) ; however, this was our first on Oceania. Of note, there were more than a handful of children but no children’s programs. We don’t imbibe much and don’t purchase drink packages, nor do ...
