Beautiful cruise that turned bad.
"this was our first cruise on Vikings ocean ships. The Star is a very beautiful ship. Cabins are roomy, bathrooms larger than most ocean ships we have been on. Entertainment excellent. Dining and food was..."Read More

The highlight of this adventure was the the opportunity to visit the Holy Land. Exceptional service by all staff. You could really tell they enjoyed their work. I did not care for the "class" system on Viking where people who paid more for their cabins got special privileges like early choice of excursions and dining reservations. The free excursions seemed rather superficial with bus rides and ...

Chose this cruise in order to visit many of the famous sights around the Mediterranean we had long wanted to see. In this regard, the cruise met our every expectation, although we do wish we had added additional days before and after our cruise to better explore and enjoy both Barcelona and Venice. We think an additional day or two "at sea" (there was only one) would be great in order to improve ...

We have sailed a number of Viking river cruises but this was our first ocean cruise. Suffice it to say - we rebooked the same ship and the same stateroom for a 2021 Viking Homelands cruise. Loved the ship but went on so many land excursions that we didn't have enough time aboard to enjoy all the ship had to offer. Embarking and disembarking was easy and well organized for the excursions. ...

We chose this cruise for a break after the Christmas festivities. Fewer crowds. Took the included tours. While informative, somewhat boring. Will consider “pay “ tours in the future. I strongly DO NOT recommend included tour in Cartegena. On the bus looking at the poverty of the area then to a less than photographic lighthouse. Then back on the bus. No time to explore/ shop in the city prior ...

We booked this crossing as we were headed back to the States after a long holiday in Europe and the departure and arrival ports fit our plans. This was our 35th cruise and our 5th time on Azamara. The best part of the trip were the people we met on board. We had many fun evenings over drinks in the Living Room before dinner and dancing after dinner. We booked a large suite and were very ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary - Barcelona to Miami in 17 days. This was our first time on Oceania and our second cruise ever. This is considered a smaller ship with only ~600 passengers - we liked the smaller size. This ship was re-done in 2019 so everything was lovely, clean, and fresh and decorated in calming colors. We had great weather most of the trip with only one rain ...

We picked this Oceania cruise because of its itinerary, in particular Al Hambra, Canary Islands and Tangiers (among others). We were lucky to score stateroom 6004 (port side very near the sharp end), which whilst having no balcony, had instead added interior space, making for a larger cabin. We appreciated the extra space as we were travelling for 2 months and had lots of luggage. Sirena has ...

We chose this cruise based upon a friend’s recommendation. We were happy that we weren’t being nickeled and dimed throughout the cruise. Don’t need a casino, and liked that there weren’t noisy kids running around. Cabin service was exceptional. Service in the alternative restaurant Manfredi’s was also exceptional (the food was great too). Didn’t make it to the Chef’s Table (had heard the menu ...

Husband, son and I have been cruising for over 25 years. Ages are 63, 56 and 23. It is our favorite vacation thing to do. Started on Carnival (actually met my husband on the old Celebration) and moved on up from there. About eight years ago, we tried Celebrity and that was that. It became our favorite cruise line. So other than the occasional inexpensive three or four day trip to the Bahamas ...
