Small Ship Cruisin’

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

So we are 1st time Azamara cruisers. We did enjoy the small ship feel, don’t need all the large ship bells and whistles. It was great being able to sit and eat a meal without a photographer coming to the table asking to take a picture! The Living Room, The Den, and Discoveries bars were perfect for a cocktail before dinner and a night cap before bed. We only went to the Main Dining room and ...

Overall Disappointing Experience - NEVER AGAIN

Positives: The Staff and Crew were excellent and provided excellent customer service. The food was excellent. The ship was clean. Negatives: The Azamara website nightmare. What guests were put through before boarding is beyond acceptable. We brought every piece of paperwork with us, and Azamara still could not reconcile the Special Dinner Package I purchased before boarding- I had ...

We have been cruising since 1985 and have cruised on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Regent, Norwegian, Oceania and Viking River cruises. All have their pluses but we find Azamara Cruises to fit us best for several reasons. The staff on all Azamara ships are service-oriented, friendly and courteous. The size of their ships allow for docking in central locations and minimizing long and ...

Our first Viking cruise (17th overall cruise with multiple vendors, global-wide destinations, and 7-35 day durations). We found this to be the most complete and comfortable cruise experience with have had--engaging passengers, superbly attentive crew, amazing food, comfortable room with balcony, rarely a sense of a crowd especially in public spaces, seamless embarkation and disembarkation ...

Delightful Cruise on Viking Star Iberia, British Isles and Iceland

We chose this cruise because of the varied and interesting itinerary. Our only concern was which clothes to pack because of the different weather extremes we expected, but turned out the weather was perfect everywhere. Since Viking supplies convenient self-service laundry facilities, turns out we overpacked and next time we will be more judicious. This was our third Ocean cruise (10th overall on ...

Because of the unique and amazing itinerary, we truly LOVED this cruise! Sailing to all of the very different ports made for a very interesting experience and one that we will never forget. The crew was great, especially the cruise director, Aebhin O' Neill and Jonny the assistant cruise director (don't recall his last name). The entertainment was top notch, especially the 4 Viking vocalists and ...

The itinerary was a huge draw for me. So many places I'd never been topped off by Iceland and mixed with lovely visits to old favorites. Plus it was my first Viking cruise and a friend had raved about it. My only other cruise experience had been the Caribbean with island and Mexico stops. Not really my cup of tea, large ships, lots of partying and the constant ding ding ding of the casino. ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Jupiter

It seemed to be a very interesting cruise, with the opportunity to visit places that we had never been to or for some time. The food on Viking Jupiter was excellent, the offerings in the Chef's Table were magnificent, the menus we chose were Great Britain 2: Cuisine from an Island Nation and Erlings Nordic Bistro. The second one was very Scandinavian themed, and very enjoyable. The entertainment ...

We enjoyed our opportunity to see Sagrada Familia on the pre-trip as during the trip this excursion was sold out before the opening date for excursions. We loved our balcony room and proximity to the elevator. The ship was friendly, clean, and elegant. We spent the extra money for every excursion because the included trips did not allow for any in-depth experiences. We enjoyed the tour to ...

A Relaxing Taste of Europe

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Viking Jupiter

Wanted to do a small ocean cruise and to see a sampling of cities and countryside. We were able to do most of the excursions we wanted. However, when we tried to sign up for some in advance, it indicated availability, but would not let us book (i.e. Porto - port wine). One was not as described - Filigree museum, but tour director said he would report discrepancy to Viking. All others were ...
